10 bedrooms, 11 bedrooms, even 12 bedrooms! We have the space you need to house your large group in style.
How about The Emerald or The Sapphire at the Cottages at Romar? Both can handle 42 in luxury (so 84!). Take all three of our extremely high end Jewels by the Sea (gated community, private elevated pools, elevators, wet bars throughout!) and you can house 112 people!
Please note that large groups does not extend to large groups of unrelated adults under 25. We do not host college or high school spring break or similar groups, and we require the primary renter be 25 and on site and available at all times. Even with a primary renter of 25, we do not allow large groups of unrelated adults under 25. Many are well behaved, but we have had not so great experiences that have spoiled this for others. Multiple families for a fun gulf coast vacation get away? It often costs less to stay in one of our fully furnished, comfortable, upscale Gulf Shores vacation homes for large groups, on a per family basis, than it would to stay at a much less nice hotel! Come stay on the beach, stay with friends, or simply give your group room to spread out! Groups of families? Lots of friends? Family reunions? Sports teams? You have a large group and we have large vacation homes perfect for you and your friends, neighbors, teammates, family, and even that person you barely know, to spread out and enjoy your vacation.

Many of the houses are located near each other, often right next door, and some are even duplexes.

We already mentioned the Jewels by the Sea housing 112 if you use all three houses (located beside each other). How about putting together all of SEA Monster, The Sundancer, Summer Winds and Beach Baby (all adjacent to one another)? All with pools. That’s 146 people! All located right across the street from Waves Grocery Store, ice cream, and a West Beach Grille restaurant!

What can you do with a large group?
Well, stay at home in one of our beachfront vacation homes and order pizza of course! Because you can’t beach just chillin’ at the beach, especially if you have a big crew that can’t even figure out where they want to go let along who is driving the bus!
But too much together time can be challenging too, and sometimes the whole group wants to go out. So what are some things large groups can do in Gulf Shores?
Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo
How about the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo? They can handle a crowd, everyone can head in different directions yet be in the same place, and, hey, who doesn’t like a zoo? And this one is pretty awesome and was even featured in an Animal Planet television series. Be sure to check out the black leopards. Our family sponsors one of them, Katrina (yep, named after Hurricane Katrina) and our kids have known it since it was little!
Eat at Lulu’s
Lulu’s is fun. Lulu’s is big. Lulu’s food is usually pretty good. Lulu’s can handle a crowd as long as you go during an off time. Just call ahead. We like that they have a Mountain of Youth climbing set (huge!). If there’s a longish wait to sit, the Mountain of Youth is well work the cost of admission. Shorter wait? Beach volleyball, sand castles, and the bars, of course! No trip for our family to Gulf Shores is complete without a stop at Lulu’s… the kids love it!
Tanger Outlet, Foley, Alabama
Big group? Big shopping! The Tanger Outlet has stores for just about anything you could want, from women’s fashions, of course, to kids clothing, athletics, and golf supplies. You really can’t go wrong blowing a few hours together at the Foley Tanger Outlets. It has all the key large group factors: lots of space, lots of options! Hey, not a shopper and you don’t need anything? You can always get a coffee, because this is one of the closest full Starbucks stores to the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area. But if you really want some coffee, you might check out some local shops too, though they don’t do ‘large group’ so well. Get away from the gang, get a coffee. One of the better ones is
The Wharf at Orange Beach
Shoppers and non-shoppers rejoice! This isn’t an outlet, so if that’s the vibe you want, go to Tanger, but if you want to do a little shopping, have something to eat, maybe get hassled by the kids to Build-a-Bear or play laser tag, and have a nice coffee or some ice cream, oh yeah, gotta have ice cream in Alabama, then The Wharf at Orange Beach is your best bet. For the coffee, try Southern Grind. Barista’s can be hit and miss here but when they get it right, its really right.
