Beach Axis' deck is as close to the gulf as you can get in the area. Folks LOVE LOVE LOVE its gulf front decks! Most nearby units have their pool behind the homes, putting the pool between you and the beach. Not Beach Axis. Beach Axis' pool is streetside. Sit on the deck, enjoy the sunset, while most neighbors are behind you! How nice is that! The pool is private to the two sides of the duplex—not shared with any other home.

POOL
Big. Streetside. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It’s a big oval, 30x15x3-6’. Lounge chairs are provided around the pool.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
PARKING
There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for 4-6 cars per side if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this.
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.
PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire.
No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely Beach Axis home. It worked perfectly for us and we all talked about how you all must clearly care about it and things looked newly painted and very clean! We had a couple (very minor) issues and your team were on them immediately--even faster than we could have hoped for! The location was great. Property was well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with flatware, dishes, pots & pans, etc. It is close to the beach, but still a little walk away. We rented both east and west duplexes. The only way to go from one to the other is by going outside and through the balcony. We recommend that you add a door between the 2 units with a dead bolt on each side. That can be easily placed perpendicular to the front door. Also the dishwasher should be replaced on the east duplex.

I'd love to learn more about how we can get that lost star back... don't see anything terribly negative. You suggested a connecting door between the two sides. This would be nice, but structurally is a challenge AND it is clearly described in the listing as being connected by going on the deck, which at least saves going up and down the steps. Can't imagine an 'as described" was held against us? Also, you mention: "It is close to the beach, but still a little walk away." This is.... odd. Beach Axis is as close as homes can possibly be to the beach. The homes cannot be past the coastal construction line, which it is right up to, and, moreover, since the pool is street side, Beach Axis is actually closer than almost all the surrounding homes--so you are literally (and legally) as close as it is possible to the beach in Gulf Shores! I have to be specific on this because inevitably someone will scour our reviews and ask: is this really beachfront? Yes, and as close as you can get. 😉 Finally, I asked about the dishwasher. According to the appliance repair company that was sent out for you during the stay, the dishwasher on that side was working as designed, but was being overloaded on the bottom and blocking the spray tower to the top, so I think its okay, and we have had no other reports. Again, glad you all had a great time and happy to have back anytime. Ty! 🙏]

The trip went perfectly with no hiccups. Beach axis is a lovely home and we had a fantastic time. The location can't be beat. Host was very responsive. House was in great condition. We needed the door between the house unlocked because we had rented the entire house. We could not get it unlocked. Richard had his maintenance team to come get the door open for us. It made our stay a little nicer. My only complaint was that the house was not equipped with chairs, umbrellas or tents. We had to go buy our own and leave them at the property when we left. It’s the first house we ever rented that didn’t have those items available. Other than that we had a great time and would recommend!

We had a wonderful trip. The home was perfect for us and we had lots of space to spread out. It was nice to have all the rooms but to also be a little separated too. We loved the pool being on the road side so we felt alone right on the beach when out back. Having the grocery and stores across the street was very convenient too!

Every year we take 7 kids and their spouses along with grandchildren which was 9 this year on a vacation somewhere. We’ve done cruises and mostly beach vacations. This year in Gulf Shores at this property was probably one of the best so far. The house which we used both sides was great for our family. Clean and very well decorated. Loved being right on the beach. We had our very own pool. And across the street we used the fish restaurant twice for carry out and it was by far the best fish we had while in Gulf Shores. I also took the girls on Tiki Hut Cruise out of Zeke’s Marine with captain Chris. We had a great time. Did the 3 hour bay tour. Saw dolphins and anchored at an island and met some wonderful people. Also, across from our house was Waves a convenience store which had anything you would need. And an attached liquor store. There was also an ice cream shop that was always busy. But had delicious ice cream. Some of them served in mason jars. Would definitely recommend this house and would love to go back sometime.

We loved out stay. We had both sides of Beach Axis. One thing to note (and they do tell you this in the listing) is that there is no connecting door inside. However, the decks are connected so its easy to get from side to side. And those decks... wow. The few is wonderful, and you are so so close to the water. Closer than anyone else nearby. We hope to return in the future!

Loved this rental right on the beach! We rented both sides of this duplex for our entire family (19 adults, 7 kids). Same setup on both sides, 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms each side. King beds for many of the bedrooms. Loved that each bedroom had it own designated bathroom! Saw dolphins every day and kids went crab hunting on beach every night! Truly enjoyed our stay! Location is great and close to a great restaurants and stores! Management company very responsive to any issues you have during your stay (very important!)

The good the bad and the ugly. There was no ugly. There was no bad. The cold snap was unanticipated but even with the very cold weather we all stayed warm, toasty and had no issues. My kids will tell you I was born with a bottle of windex in hand and I found the property to be very clean when we arrived. We found the property exceptionally well equipped. There were more than adequate towels. Everyone found the beds comfortable. This was a family trip allowing me the pleasure of cooking for my family and my grandchildren. There was more than an adequate supply of dishes, silverware, pots and pans including large pots. Two bedrooms on each floor with a deck on each floor was more than enough room for all to be comfortable. We found the third floor deck gets the least amount of wind. The sunrise and sunset views are amazing as the property is situated directly behind the dunes close to the beach. There is a sandbar in the water which causes the waves to break away from the shore allowing the children to play by the shore without having to contend with waves. The birds and dolphins like to hang out by the sandbar. Upon arriving and settling in we found a few little things which needed attention, passed them on and received a thank you response. We had no issues and recommend this property without hesitation.

Unbelievable location in Gulf Shores. Cannot imagine a better house out there during the holidays. The house had everything we needed and more. Being able to have instant access and amazing views was more than we could’ve asked for. We cannot wait to get back to Gulf Shores next Holiday season and we know exactly the place we want to rent.

We had a great experience with this vacation. The house is right on the beach and also very close to a restaurant, an ice cream shop, fresh sea food shop, and a grocery store(within walking distance, so perfect). They had construction on the property the week before and we got a nail in our tire from the driveway. The owners not only fix our tire, they had it done in the driveway so we didn't have to take time out of our vacation to have it fixed. Then they sent us a cheesecake for our trouble! We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future.

This property is great for families with children. Plenty of room, good-size kitchen, and plenty of bathrooms. I like having rooms on separate levels so that napping children can have some quiet time while others are downstairs.

We’re used to staying in townhomes on the beach and this has been one of the most comfortable and certainly the closest to the beach. Property was located right on the beach. There were 4 bedrooms with king size beds. Another bedroom contained two sets of bunk beds. The lower bunks were full size beds. Additionally there was a set of bunk beds in one of the king size bedrooms if you had a small child that you needed to keep an eye on. Bonus feature was a wet bar with an ice maker to fill up your cooler daily for the beach. Beach view was great! Nice picnic area underneath house where you could sit and enjoy lunch. If you have a large group staying here, I would recommend bringing a cooler to store your canned drinks free up space in the refrigerator. Good supply of dishes, glassware, and pans available in unit.

We had a great time! We loved that the house was in such a great location and was so close to the beach. I loved how nice the picnic area underneath the house was. It was so nice to have so much room to store our chairs and umbrellas. A really great bonus was the separate ice maker. We loved that feature because we could fill our coolers for the beach each day and enjoy our snacks and drinks all day on the beach while they stayed cold. You really should highlight that bonus feature of the home. We did take two Yeti coolers to store our canned drinks and waters in during our stay since you did warn us that the refrigerator would take some time to cool off a lot of drinks. Thank you for warning us so we could be prepared. We visited the ice cream shop across the street at least twice and it was so good. We also ate lunch at the Beach House directly across the street and had their fish tacos. My daughter in law said they were the best she had ever had. We went to Bahama Bobs twice and loved the coconut shrimp. However, my husband’s favorite place was Big Mike’s Steak house near Orange Beach. We went there twice for steak.... Everything was clean and orderly when we arrived. Hope you have a great week!

Our family had a great time in this property. Having beachfront access was important and the pool was clean and great for the kids. Close walk to a small grocery as well as restaurant and Seafood shop. Overall a great vacation and would highly recommend this property. There were a few things that are needed for a large group like ours. The silverware was lacking some pieces - especially forks. The kitchen overall was very well equipped and the ice maker was an unexpected blessing.

We had a great time at Beach Axis West. During the week we had no reason to contact the local management company so I guess you could say all went well. My wife handled all the cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. The only issue we had was the silverware was lacking for the number of people we had. That was not a major problem since we had small kids and used lots of plastic ware. Our grandkids loved having the pool and access to the beach was great. So I would definitely give the home a great review.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The house was just the right size for our extended family. It was also extremely clean and well prepared for our arrival. We loved being able to walk from the deck to the beach directly in front of us. There are no large towers close by so the beach isn't crowded even in peak season. We were able to set up our beach location easily each day - even when we didn't make it to the beach until late morning or early afternoon. The house has everything you need for a family vacation. There are plenty of dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc. There is a small grocery store across the street for any items you forgot to pick up at the grocery store. The beds in all the rooms have very comfortable mattresses and everybody slept well. The house has parking underneath the unit which is very nice as you can unload your car and take anything directly up the stairs. The outdoor hose by the stairway to the deck also helps keep everything clean from the beach. The on-site pool is only shared with the family staying in the attached unit. It is big enough for both families and kept very clean with plenty of seating. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

Large group of friends. Everything on this property was as advertised. We were with 3 other families, so in all we were 20 people! It was a great location and it was easy for us to give the older kids some freedom without feeling insecure. We loved every minute! Believe me....I'm a mom who is very on top of her kids and I was able to give them some freedom!

Best beach front! Our Christmas gift to our adult children, spouses, and 5 grandchildren was amazing. Steps from the beach, we had the luxury of coming from the beach, to the house, to the pool. Each family had their own private floor with en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms had balconies overlooking either the beach or pool. The open floor plan living/ kitchen area made visiting perfect. We were close enough to the action for access to restaurants, shops, and entertainment, yet far enough for a peaceful stay. We all had a blast: memories to last a lifetime.
No better location than Beach Axis!

This was our first stay in Gulf Shores and we will be back! I am not sure you could ask for a better location than Beach Axis. Our goal was to be able to walk onto the beach right from our house - check! Next as a bonus was convenience to a pool and stores and restaurants. Well we had our own pool - we shared with the east property but this was never an issue. Right across the street was a convenience store, ice cream and restaurant. The bonus was being right near a 4 mile walking/bike path for our morning jogs. We had a plenty of room on the beach as all those around us were beach homes. We hope to be back.

This was our first trip to Gulf Shores. We traveled with two other families which totaled 16 and it was an amazing first experience. So much so, that we already want to go back! We could not ask for a better location with a store across the way with ice cream and sea food it was amazing. Also the drive to other parts of the city was just a short distance. The beach was amazing and all around good time. Thank you and hope to stay again in the future!

This property is a in a great location! We could sit on the porch and watch the kids play in the sand. The kids loved the pool. The rooms were very spacious. The close proximity to the beach, pool and shops were the better than expected.

Definitely recommend and would stay again! Fantastic house and location. The house accomodated myself and my assistant coach as well as 11 grown men on my team. Had plenty of room and the house had everything we needed for daily meals. The views were amazing and the house was basically on the beach. Groceries across the street as well as a nice restaurant and bar. We travel quite a lot and making travel plans can be a pain but I have to really commend Rick, the owner and his wife for being incredible at communicating with me and giving so many references of where to eat and what to do. Rick made the whole process go so smoothly and that made the trip for me in some respects. Highly recommend renting any of their homes.

Hurricane Sally! We had a great 3 days of sun and surf then Sally Came and shook the house and left a mess and no power or water. So we could not wait to leave after that. We loved the house and location. I would recommend this home. We would stay again but not during huriccance season.

When we arrived, we were supposed to be staying at beach axis west but there was already someone in that side when we got there. I called the management number and we were given a door code for the east side. Luckily there was no one in that side. It was an easy fix, just a little confusing. My mom had some issues with the cleanliness of her bathroom. I had some food that was between my bedside table and the bed. Otherwise, the unit was clean. I loved the fact that the house was right on the beach and I did not have to worry about the kids crossing a busy street to get to the beach. We enjoyed the pool and it looked to be maintained pretty well. We had some issues with the internet which was corrected by someone from your excellent, friendly staff. I also loved that we were close to stores. Location was great. Overall we had a great time. Thank you

Great vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and stay at this rental. The only issue we encountered was when we arrived at the property around 6:00 p.m. it was still being cleaned. The cleaning ladies were extremely friendly and worked very hard to get things in order for us. I would rent this property again.

Our experience at Beach Axis east was great. The house was clean & as described in the listing. In fact, the house feels larger than the listing photos show. The furniture was comfortable & the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook a few family meals. The only thing I will mention that could’ve been better was the smart tvs didn’t have the usual streaming apps installed so a roku or similar device would’ve been nice. Overall, 5 stars from us!!!

This home was just perfect. It was closer to the beach than any other house, the beach wasn’t crowded and the house was so roomy. The beds were comfortable, the views were spectacular. We never even heard the people in the other side of the home. You can walk to the Island ice cream, waves grocery, and the seafood market because they are just across the street. That was very convenient. This home is just a mile from the hangout. So you can actually walk just about anywhere. I would definitely recommend this house and I will be staying here again.

I poled my entire family and it’s really hard to find anything other than great positive things to say about your beautiful home. It was very clean upon arrival and that means a lot to mothers with young children. We had a great time and everything was furnished exactly the way it was advertised. As you know with anything that has to do with real estate it’s location location location and with your home being right on the beach with the pool behind it and across the street a perfect convenient store, ice cream parlor, awesome seafood shop, and restaurant bar, you’ve got the location location location nailed! Can’t tell you how many times we visited the wonderful seafood shop met the owners and had amazing meals that we took back to the home and had on the beach or on the balconies. I’m trying really hard to find something to share with you as a possible improvement and do have one suggestion. My wife and I slept in the room directly off the kitchen past the washer and dryer. I would suggest that this bed and mattress might want to be considered to be replaced in the near future. All the other mattresses were awesome but this one certainly could be improved with being replaced. All I can say, if that’s the only thing we have as a suggestion, you’ve got a great home. Our family will definitely be looking to contact you if we do another family reunion in Gulf Shores! Thanks so much, Gary

You can’t beat the location, restaurant right across the street along with a liquor store and small convenience store. Great house, right on the beach, had plenty of room, the pool was very nice. We did have a small issue but reached out to the owner and he had it rectified within hours, great communication. We had an awesome week!!

House was nice. Previous reviews indicated that the 3rd floor was wet/damp and had a smell. This is 100% accurate. We kept it cold in the room and the odor stayed away. However, the damp feel to the room remained, and we did not use the balcony from the 3rd floor. Overall enjoyable home. Location is great.

We enjoyed our time at Beach Axis-East. The house was close to restaurants and other attractions. Having the grocery store across the street was so nice! House was comfortable, but did need some maintenance. Management sent people out to fix some things on the day we emailed them. One negative was the fire station so close to the house. People in the front bedrooms heard sirens several times most nights.

Great place! Had an excellent time in your Gulf Shores home! Very clean, excellent location and right on the beach! The 5 bedroom layout was perfect for our large group and did not feel crowded with 14 of us!. Will definitely book again and would recommend to anyone! Thanks for having us!!

The property is in a great location right on the beach! The view is perfect and the amenities were on point. It could use a little more attention to detail in the cleanliness category. There was evidence of previous renters left in various places and dusting was overlooked in main areas. The 3rd floor does have a musty smell, which I think I read in a review previously. I am pretty particular, but I would still stay at this location again as the mentioned items were minor. The duplex style house sleeps 16 comfortably and the pool is nice and private. The owners even had delicious chocolates delivered to say “thank you” for renting their property. It was a great week!!

Overall 18 of us enjoyed our stay. Info prior to arrival was great. We needed door and wall hooks for wet towels and a broom/dust pan to sweep up sand. Third floor was extremely damp. Carpet felt wet. Pool and beach access was great!

Everything was wonderful as always! You all are always very accommodating and informative on getting us any information we need. We really do enjoy staying at your houses. The house was great and had plenty of room for all of us. The location was perfect. No complaints here! And thank you for the cheesecake. It was delicious. I was lucky enough to get a piece of it as it was gone within a few hours! You'll be hearing from us in the future as we love the area and staying with you guys!

Great home for family beach trip. We enjoyed this house so much - everyone went on and on about the location. Almost a Fort Morgan feel with quieter beaches, but close to everything you need. The owner was fast to respond regarding any issues we had. We had 9 adults and 2 children under 2 and the space was perfect. Will definitely stay again.

Wonderful Family Vacation. Just about everything was really good. The only big drawback was that we had to wait 3 hours past our check in time to have the house cleaned. To be fair , we were warned via email that there may be a delay in checking in. One advantage this property has compared to others is the house is right next to the beach sand dunes. Most properties put the pool between the house and the beach. This property has the pool between the house and the street.

The owners were very quick to respond to all questions. The AC wasn’t working on the third floor on our second evening. When I called the management company I didn’t expect anything to be done until the next day but they had someone come out that night with a fix for the night. They replaced the unit the next day! The place was great!

Great set up for our family of 6 adults and 5 children. The location was very convenient to stores, restaurants, and activities. Unfortunately, for our Fall Break trip, some places were closed or had limited hours for the season, including the mentioned ice cream place right across the street. The house is just steps from the beach. The kitchen is well stocked. Owner and management company were quick to respond to questions. This is a nice property that, with just a little TLC, could be a great property. Needs a deep cleaning, and updating of bed linens and some of the furniture. Overall, enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home and location. There is plenty of space and everything you need for your meals. It does say there are 2 refrigerators but there is only one and it is deep. The house has a beautiful view and plenty of space. Across the street is an Ice cream store that is yummy, a seafood store and a little liquor/grocery store. The owner is amazing and answers questions quickly. I would definitely stay here again. We had a family of 11 and plenty of room.

Unbelievable location in Gulf Shores. Cannot imagine a better house out there during the holidays. The house had everything we needed and more. Being able to have instant access and amazing views was more than we could’ve asked for. We cannot wait to get back to Gulf Shores next Holiday season and we know exactly the place we want to rent.
