Sundancer is a beautiful duplex located directly on the beach of the Gulf! Open the back doors and enjoy sun, surf, and sand!
Location. Location. Location. Right on the beach, The Sundancer duplex is in a terrific location: right across the street from Waves Grocery, a restaurant, ice cream, and more! In season: S&S Seafood is open. Order up some shrimp, corn, and potatoes steamed (I choose cajun, of course!). The pool on Sundancer is beachside, fairly sheltered, fenced, and open to the sun, and there is a lot of space under the home (on concrete) to escape the heat and sun if you need to do so!

3rd Floor N BR: Two Triple Bunks (single over full)
4th Floor S Master: King
Additionally, there are Queen Sleeper Sofas in the 3rd floor lounge bonus room as well as in the 2nd Floor (main) living room.
ALL King bedrooms have their own en suite bath. The bunk room and bonus room QSS share a common bath.
Each side has TWO, yes two, master bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other on the 4th floor beachfront, each with a tub with separate shower.

Two? Per side? Yes two. Because you won't want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them.
POOL
Big. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It’s a big 25x14x3-5' Rectangle Lounge chairs are provided around the pool. The pool is NOT heatable. You will find that to be rare, and clearly noted in a listing, and usually involve a per night surcharge. The pool is, however, open all year.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though!
PARKING
There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for at least 6 midsize vehicles if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this.
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.
PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire.
Really big group? I own 4 duplexes side by side. Can handle just about any group size!
No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

Sundancer East was the perfect holiday vacation spot for our family. The house suited our group so well with each bedroom having a full bathroom, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable living room. The beach was SO close and easy! The owners communicated frequently and clearly to share information about the house On top of that, they were so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!!

The house was very clean and exactly as the pictures, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, it was great to have two refrigerators, the pool was clean and had plenty of chairs, easy access to the beach and the view from the decks were amazing, we had two things that needed to be fixed and they took care of it immediately, we will definitely stay there again. This home was perfect and beautiful with the best location! Every morning we were able to take our stuff out to the beach and get a great spot. The house was clean, the host was super communicative. The view of the house is unobstructed and amazing and the swimming pool was the most perfect temperature. I cannot say enough great things about this home, we had 15 people and never felt crowded. There is a yummy ice cream spot right across the street along with a great restaurant that has amazing nachos.We love this location and we will definitely book here again!!!!

This was a family vacation. Manager was prompt for fixing the light situation in the bathrooms but we never did get the slider on the top floor fixed. Three floors to get to the master with belongings would be tough for an elderly person. The pool and the pool furniture were very nice. But some of the interior could use some attention.

I understand there was a breaker type issue and it was resolved pretty quickly. The sliders sometimes get to the point where we need professionals. The twists and turns of storms and these homes on "stilts" really messes with them. Its been fixed, along with a stool that we found in the living room. We enjoyed our stay at the Sundancer but we noticed some things that could have been better for the price. The furniture seems to be worn out as it squeaks and goes down when you sit on it. The cleaning could be better. The tubs had dark stuff in the bottom of them and one of the toilets looked like it had tobacco spit into it when we first arrived and the dishwasher had an extreme odor to it. There was one of the toilet seats on the second floor that had a crack in it. The walkway to the beach was poor as well. The sliding glass door in the living room was fogged and we were unable to see much out of it. We also noticed the living room didn’t have enough seating for large families, some of us had to sit on the floor when we were all hanging out in the living room. The pictures show that there are two more chairs than there is and it shows a table on the porch that wasn’t there. We loved the location of the house and the pool itself, just a few things that wasn’t up to par.

Dolphins, Pool, and Ocean Views—Amazing!

Location of the house is perfect! The pool between the gulf and the house allows you to see pool from deck(s) as well as the Gulf. Several days with dolphins close to shore! The furniture in living and dining room (particularly couch and dining room chairs) could use some updates but also understandable with this being a beach house. The furniture isn't terrible by any means! We enjoy it or stay so much!

You said it was because it did not have a stand alone ice maker like the last home of mine you stayed in. Of course it, and most places, don't list that as an amenity.... Always happy to take requests, but... losing a star for something we don't offer... is super disappointing as it docks us for something we don't list as an amenity! 😔 Just my $.02 but I would suggest searching for the amenities you want, and not penalizing owners and homes for wish list items that they specifically don't offer in a place since it hurts the listing and is, IMHO, a bit unfair, especially when the home was 'perfect for our families.' 😉 Let's get you back, and find one that does have an ice maker next time! The house was wonderfully located to the stores easy walk to the beach great having a pool right outside the door. The only negative thing I could say would be update the furniture the third floor bed mattress was not very comfortable at all felt the springs along with one of the bedrooms on the second floor as well. Bedroom on third floor chest of drawers. All the handles are broke off so you could not actually access the drawers.. living room had too many chairs just not enough space for the chairs that were located in there. We were constantly having to move them out of the way of the door.

Glad you had a great time and loved the location, pool, and that the only negative thing you could mention--and did 😉--was an uncomfy mattress and dresser with broken handles (both fixed the day we saw this), and that the living room had too many chairs. It is not uncommon when people rent both sides of our home for things to get moved, even furniture, and it doesn't always get back. Kitchen goods are another one... forks anyone!? 🤪 So its possible there were too many. On the other hand, we do have to have a lot of chairs (and yet still have complaints of too few when people opt to max occupy the home to save some money), to try to seat everyone the home can occupy. Happy to have you all back anytime, and next time you come, please don't hesitate to reach out during the stay so we can help sort those out which you are there. We are here for you, of course! Location Location Location!!!! This property is close to everything! The store and restaurant across the street were so convenient My family had a great time staying at Sundancer! The house could use a little updating and TLC, but overall, our vacation was relaxing & enjoyable. The house was clean and easily accessible. We shared the Duplex with a great family and enjoyed the afternoons in the refreshing pool.

My family had a wonderful time in Gulf Shores staying in Sundancer. We can't stop talking about how great the location was. Being directly on the beach was amazing. Having a pool was perfect for my small granddaughters, nieces, and nephew. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for everyone. While the mattresses could use replacing and the air conditioning was a little wonky, it didn't deter us from making wonderful memories. There is no doubt that when we return to Gulf Shores we will be staying with Bama Beach Houses again.

This was our second time to stay at Sundancer and we loved it!
To sit on a porch and watch the waves , see the beach and the ocean, is a pure blessing.
I really appreciated the extra sitting spaces to eat. The bench at the table and the foldout table added a lot more space for dinner and card playing.
I want to thank you for how easy it was to rent from you and how wonderful everyone I talked to at your office was and always so helpful.
All of your emails were most helpful.
Since we go for 2 weeks, one week for my family and one for my husband's, we hope to be able to rent again in June of 2026.

As always, we had a wonderful stay at your home. There were a couple issues this year for the whole month and your maintenance people took care of them promptly and efficiently. We thoroughly enjoy the privacy of your home as opposed to a busy high-rise, although we are getting older and are not sure how much longer we will be able to negotiate all of those stairs! The past couple of years we've used the bedroom on the main floor. Thanks again for a great month. We are looking forward to next year!

End of summer vacation with family and friends, and a last minute change of plans on where we were staying brought us to this house. Everyone wanted to be on the beach and this house delivered. Plenty of space in the house for everyone to have their own area and even more. Literally just steps to the beach and it was much less crowded than the public areas. Our group decided to eat out every night so we did not do much cooking, but it looked as though the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and pots and pans. Communication with the owner and check in was easy with no problems at all. We had a great stay, and would recommend this property!

We had a great stay in Sundancer. No issues, except the weather for some of the stay. Rick and his team were great communicators and very fast to respond to any questions, and a couple of very minor issues were handled same day! Highly recommend!!!

This vacation home was just perfect for all of our family !!! There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty of play room for the kids too !! The property was clean, neat , and happy !! We would beach in the morning and go to the pool in the afternoon !! We also loved the location !! It was close to everything and especially the little store across the street !! I’m just sorry that I was too slow to book again this year !! Thank you Rick and Susan !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. Accommodations were great, weather was perfect, and a few of us never left the property! Plenty of grocery stores were close by, including a Super Walmart. Nice to have a pool for when the kids tired of the beach.

We enjoyed our stay spending time with our family during the Thanksgiving holidays. The Condo was nice and we like that area. The complaints we had was the floor was dirty when we arrived, the mattresses were noisy, the appliances and linens were old.

This is a great house for large families We were very pleased with the layout of the house everyone has their own bathroom which is very nice when you’re entertaining 14 guest. The house could use some updating as far as some of the furniture. Also I know it’s impossible to keep but a few more pots and pans would’ve been nice as well it wasn’t a large variety. But it would not keep me from running this house again the owners were excellent to work with the maintenance staff was quick to respond to any repair or issue that we may have had. Highly recommend

This property was perfect for the 15 of us! We had 8 adults, 5 teenagers, and 2 kids. The bedrooms have their own bathrooms and all but one have King size beds. The "kids" room with the bunk beds worked fantastic for us. The proximity of the house in Gulf Shores is excellent! There is a general store right across the street that supplies all of our goods for the week. Plus, the access to the beach and ocean can't be beat with this house. I highly recommend this to others to stay at this fabulous place!

Love the layout! The bedrooms have plenty of space between them. There was a piece of hardiplank siding handing down from two nails on one side of the back porch on the second floor. I called at 10:15 am, and they showed up and repaired it that night at 8:15 pm. Great job! Our major issue were the mattresses. They were all lumpy and so soft they were extremely uncomfortable. They made a noise every time you moved on them. Our extended family loved every thing else!

We absolutely loved our experience with our beach house Sundancer. It is so easy dealing with the owners and feel like we have formed a friendship. It was ready for us and extremely clean. The house is equipped with everything in the kitchen. The furniture and beds were comfortable. We had to call about the television and the air. We loved our stay in the purple house. The house was in a great location. Across the road from Waves that made it easy to pick up anything you needed. West enough that you have more space on the beach. Pool was great to share with just one other family. House was spacious enough large group didn’t feel on top of each other. Everyone could have their own space. We would love to come back!

This house is in the perfect location! It’s not on the main, busy drag but still close enough to get to all of the restaurants, shops, and excursions you want to do. The house was great for our family of 14 (infants to adults). We loved having the private pool and being steps away from the beach. The house is a little outdated and needs some maintenance work done, but overall is a great place to stay.

We stayed at this location from May 16th - May 23rd. I rated this only at 4 stars because the kitchen was a bit dirty when we first checked in but we were able to clean this. Also, the dryer had to be duct taped for it to properly operate. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience that I would definitely recommend!

The Sundancer was perfect for our family beach trip. The location is great because it is close enough to everything Gulf Shores has to offer yet far enough away to enjoy the peaceful private beach. The home has amazing views of the Gulf and was well equipped with everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time. The location was great. My daughter had ice cream every day. We played volleyball and wiffle ball in the evenings with plenty of playing space. The house fit us well. We had 4 generations enjoying a week together. We did 3 nights of cooking in (burgers, hot dogs, brisket, and a shrimp boil). The management company did a wonderful job getting the house ready. It looked and smelled very clean. They even called us to see if we left a case of DVDs behind. I told her they were there when we arrived and we thought they went with the house. Thank you for allowing us to use your vacation rental and the opportunity to rent again. Family time is important to us and we are getting older and spreading out, so having a week together is wonderful.

The house and location were fabulous. Couldn't have asked for better place and management were on top of everything. My only complaint/issue was the cost. I paid a lot so my family could be together after the China virus and gov. lockdowns. I know, big house, great location, kept in tip-top shape, first week of vacation season, you expect to pay, and we got what we paid for. So, let me withdraw that complaint and put another star up.

We had a great stay at your home. We loved the location and just the home in general. The pool was nice. The kitchen was well stocked. We came down with 6 adults (some grown kids) and 2 children ages 14 and 4. The bedroom were spacious and gave us all we needed. I come to Gulf shores each year and this was my first time to stay in a house and we enjoyed it very much. We did find some DVDs in the cabinets that were some old Christmas movies. The claymation type movies. My 4yo loves them it was a huge hit. We had Christmas in May all week!!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. The bedrooms were very spacious, and the extra bunk bed room was perfect for our group. The extra refrigerator was also a bonus! We appreciated the amount of communication and access we had to the management company.

We took our family trip here this year. There was 11 of us. We had a blast and would definitely stay at sundancer again!!! We had plenty of room for us and all 6 of the kids (ages 3-16). The kids loved the private pool. Yes it’s shared with the neighbors but so happened we didn’t see them much at all. And never heard them through the walls either. The location is wonderful!! Just minutes away from most everything. Walmart, Publix, restaurant, ice creams….the important stuff lol. The house is a really short walk to the beach, and more plenty of privacy. The house was very clean and stocked with all the supplies you need. Plenty of pillows, blankets, towels etc…..communication with the owner was great. Very interested about our experience and if there was any other needs for the property. This was definitely one of the best beach trips, locations, property I have been on. Everything was so perfect I plan to stay there again!!

Great place to stay!! Loved the property. We would definitely choose this house to stay for family vaca again. Only complaint I could think of would be might could do a better mattress, or a mattress topper. But if there was no change I’d still be happy to stay again!!! Wonderful owners as well!!!!

The owners are professional and return calls, emails, and even texts. We feel we have made new friends. The house was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with 2 refrigerators. We had an issue with the television and air and it was fixed in a matter of minutes. This was our 5th year to stay a month at the beach and our 1st and best experience yet with the Beach Bama Owners Rick and Susan !!😎😎 We are counting the days of our return visit in November!!
