Sundancer is a beautiful duplex located directly on the beach of the Gulf! Open the back doors and enjoy sun, surf, and sand!
Location. Location. Location. Right on the beach, The Sundancer duplex is in a terrific location: right across the street from Waves Grocery, a restaurant, ice cream, and more! In season: S&S Seafood is open. Order up some shrimp, corn, and potatoes steamed (I choose cajun, of course!). The pool on Sundancer is beachside, fairly sheltered, fenced, and open to the sun, and there is a lot of space under the home (on concrete) to escape the heat and sun if you need to do so!

Additionally, there are Queen Sleeper Sofas in the 3rd floor lounge bonus room as well as in the 2nd Floor (main) living room.

Each side has TWO, yes two, master bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other on the 4th floor beachfront, each with a tub with separate shower.

Two? Per side? Yes two. Because you won't want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them.
POOL
Big. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It’s a big 25x14x3-5' Rectangle Lounge chairs are provided around the pool. The pool is NOT heatable. You will find that to be rare, and clearly noted in a listing, and usually involve a per night surcharge. The pool is, however, open all year.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though!
PARKING
There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for at least 6 midsize vehicles if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this.
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.
PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire.
Really big group? I own 4 duplexes side by side. Can handle just about any group size!
No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

My family had an amazing Thanksgiving, off season at the beach. The home was spacious and the views from the balconies were beautiful. We found starfish, sand dollars and saw dolphins.
Water filter for refrigerator needs to be replaced according to the light signaling that. But not at all worth contacting anyone. Your starter toiletries were helpful and I did not expect the comfort of the sheets and towels. So nice! You stocked the kitchen well with glasses, plates, etc.
It was a joy to stay there. We all wish we could have extended our stay. We will return! Thank you.

It was a perfect house for us. There was an issue with the pool but it was rectified pretty quickly and an alternative pool was provided. Good communication, but disappointing that we didn’t get to use the pool we paid for in the first 24 hours. Kitchen was poorly stocked, no scissors or other basic things. Absolutely no supplies from previous guests available so plan accordingly. Would be nice to provide things like coffee filters and trash bags.
[π₯° Thanks Lucy! Glad you had a wonderful time and that Sundancer was perfect for you. Bummed to lose a star over the pool at Sundancer being green the first day. Sadly, pools can go sideways pretty rapidly when guests use them and don't report changes. In this case it was caused by metals in the pool. We notified you all before arrival that you could use the pool right next door, and that the pool should be clear by the morning. Unfortunately, a helpful guest turned the filter back on... and it should be off for this pool treatment, and that slowed things down a little, but sounds like they had 'your' pool up by the second day! π I've spent whole weeks without pool and or hottub access at WDW, so I understand the frustration π and glad they had an immediate solution, and got you up and running again efficiently too! I am a little surprised by the 'kitchen poorly stocked' comment, as we often get comments about how well stocked they are, but... sometimes things can walk off entirely or, in duplex units, end up in the other side when someone rents both, and cleaning doesn't notice the misplaced items. I don't see any communication about the missing items/concerns, so next time you come, be sure to reach out so that we can have someone assess the situation and bring something right out. Even a normally not provisioned item, I often make exceptions to help out. Here for you all! Glad Sundancer was perfect for you all though and would be happy to have you all back anytime. π]

We loved the unit. Clean and loved the labeling in the kitchen and on the light switches. The ac unit worked amazingly well and kept the unit super cold. The two fridges worked great, we loved having one for food and one for drinks. Private pool was nice with plenty of seating and a short walk to the beach. Owner was wonderful to work with.

We had such a great time with our kids and grandkids, the house, a side of a duplex with 5 bedrooms, was very spacious. Great to look out the windows and see dolphins or to just walk straight out to the beach, a very beautiful beach. All 11 of us are looking forward to next year, we plan to be back!

Stay in Sundancer West. Surf fished early before the crowds and then went to the lagoon in the afternoon. Grandsons had fun doing that! Our stay was good. Only complaint was that the house wasn't real clean when my daughter got there. Railing and cabinets were a bit grimy. She had cleaner and wiped down before we got there. You just might want to discuss this with your cleaning service. Gulf Shores is a great place.

Sounds like she carries cleaning supplies so it may just be that she would want to handle such nips and tucks herself but just be aware that we are happy to review some pics and have someone come out if things are not as expected. Absolutely perfect for a family gathering! We had 6 adults and 7 grandkids and had plenty of room. The half bath off the kitchen is very handy. The pool was a great size in really nice condition and the pool furniture seemed new. All of the appliances worked. The 2 full refrigerators were so nice to have. There was plenty of closet space and the bedrooms were roomy too. We have already reserved it again for next year!!!!

We visited with four couples and seven children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pictures don't do this place justice. The rooms were great size, clean and well maintained. The living room, dining room and kitchen area was larger than we expected and fit all of us in there. The second refrigerator was the extra you never know you needed, but I will be looking for this every time. Having a semi-private pool was a great addition. The walk to the beach was easy to use and the outside shower saved a lot of time cleaning up sand. The families in the other half were very friendly and we all had a great time making new friends. We will be returning in the future for sure. This is the best place we have stayed in the Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach area. Thank you, Monte

Sundancer was the bomb! Perfect for our family to spread out. Clean. Beachside pool was awesome too! We had such a great time--even though the weather was sketchy for part of it because of the hurricane coming into Louisiana. Info and emails from Bama Beach Houses was very helpful too. Overall a great stay. Highly recommend!

The family and I enjoyed our trip very much. Weather was mostly working out for us, nice beach area with lots of dolphin activity, which always makes my heart smile. Pool was very nice and the favorite hangout for kiddos. Little boys, 5 and 6, learned to swim quite well. The house was nice and roomy, loved all the bedroom setups with their own bathrooms. I did reach out to management about skillets, and their response was immediate. Very happy with them! Overall, we had a great time in your lovely place.

It was the first time we stayed at a beach house versus a condo and it has set the bar high.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. We are trying to get our numbers confirmed to see what we want to do in 2025.

We had a great experience at Sundancer. We were two families with eight kids total. Everyone had nice sleeping accommodations. The location is great. There is a great market, take out sea food place, restaurant and ice cream store a one minute walk away. The only issue we had was a coffee make that didn't work. I sent a text and we had a new coffee maker 30 minutes later. Great property management!

We loved our stay in Gulf Shores. The beautiful white beach was just outside our door. We had lots of room to stretch out. In suite bathrooms for all bedrooms was an added comfort.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. House had so much room. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. Had an issue with the microwave not working and we had a new one within. 3 hours and replaced a very outdated toaster. Excellent service. The location was perfect on the beach and a store and restaurant directly across the street.

The house was immaculate when we got there. We were impressed with the ocean view from the bedrooms. There are alot of stairs so if you don't mind that, the house was perfect. We really enjoyed spending our days on the beach and having a short walk back to the house. The kids loved the pool. We hated to leave.

This house fit our family’s needs and we truly enjoyed it. It was convenient to so much. We typically stay at Ft. Morgan so being in the thick of things was great this time!!

We had a great time - the Sundancer was the perfect place for us. We are already looking forward to the next time we can go to Gulf Shores! It's always a hard place to leave and head back north where the weather is much colder!

We had a wonderful time. The location was great. My daughter had ice cream every day. We played volleyball and wiffle ball in the evenings with plenty of playing space. The house fit us well. We had 4 generations enjoying a week together. We did 3 nights of cooking in (burgers, hot dogs, brisket, and a shrimp boil). The management company did a wonderful job getting the house ready. It looked and smelled very clean. They even called us to see if we left a case of DVDs behind. I told her they were there when we arrived and we thought they went with the house. Thank you for allowing us to use your vacation rental and the opportunity to rent again. Family time is important to us and we are getting older and spreading out, so having a week together is wonderful.

This was our 17th year to summer vacation at the gulf. The house was a good choice for us this year. Location is great. Two refrigerators was great and is a MUST in a house this size.

We stay as a big family somewhere every year at Thanksgiving. Gulf Shores has been a go to for several years. This house will not disappoint, plenty of room, on the beach and a very nice property.

This was our first time visiting Gulf Shores (we typically stay on the Florida side of the Gulf). It was a splendid vacation and area! I was worried about how busy/packed the beach would be but it was not at all! With the added bonus of the house/pool so close to the beach it was a win for everyone in our group (ages 1 yr - 49)! Property management and owners were absolutely amazing to work with!

We had air conditioning problems all but two nights of our stay. The repair people were there several times finally replacing the unit late last night.

We had 8 adults and 6 kids. It was the perfect place to stay. The pool and the beach were our main sources of entertainment and did not disappoint! Adults and children agree we had a wonderful time and would enjoy coming back!

Great Extended Family Vacation! We were a group of 10 from ages 31 to 70's and the place was perfect. We loved the amount of space for everyone. It was well stocked, clean and in good shape. We usually stay in Orange Beach but tried Gulf Shores this year. We liked the fact that it was more laid back and not as busy. We will come back to Gulf Shores next year for sure!

Sundancer West. The property was great! Perfect location and amenities. When I could not reach the real estate company regarding an issue, I emailed the owner and it was handled immediately. Our family had a wonderful time and will return in the future.

We had an amazing stay at Sundancer West! Location, location, location! It is right on the beach and across the street from a fabulous convenience store, restaurant, and ice cream parlor! This house is huge and would work well for multiple families to enjoy a trip to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked but everything was in disarray. My only complaint would be the cleanliness. It needs a deep cleaning. Ceiling fans looked as though the hadn’t been dusted in years. Some of the comforters on beds had stains and needed washing, as well as cushions on chairs and couches. One bathtub had a side that was completely coming off. We even found two cigarettes in the master closet.π? It’s apparent that Sundancer West has hosted everything from families with kids to frat parties, but if you like a lived-in, comfy, beachy place to call home for a week, this is your place. Just remember to bring the Clorox wipes and your own pillow! Also, you will need to bring your own beach umbrellas etc. or rent. Ike’s Beach Service will deliver umbrellas and chairs to Sundancer West (they are amazingly nice and very efficient) but you have to set them up each day on your own. BTW, the owners are great with their communication and super nice! It is my suspicion that they aren’t aware of the condition of the property.

This property was by far the cleanest of places we have stayed in in our travels of 15 years. The view: Magnificent! The accommodations: Awesome! The pool: Spacious and Well used! Plenty of kitchen supplies to enjoy homemade family dinners while watching the surf. The staff were great and quick to solve anything we asked.

The Sundancer was perfect for our family beach trip. The location is great because it is close enough to everything Gulf Shores has to offer yet far enough away to enjoy the peaceful private beach. The home has amazing views of the Gulf and was well equipped with everything we needed.

The good and the bad... Good.. There was a ton of room for the family of 8.. Five bedrooms, each with a bathroom plus another 1/2 bath on the first level. Great view from the back porch of both the pool and beach. Nice thing was the location with a little store, restaurant, ice cream shop right across the street. AC went out for the up stairs and management was all over that and have it repaired in hours. The bad... The place in in dire need of a good deep clean, and the kitchen needs to be restocked with higher grade utensils for food prep and cooking. Overall , we had a nice vacation and stay.

This property is in a great location, close to everything Gulf Shores has to offer. The beach is fabulous with super soft sand and right outside your door. Want to relax in the pool instead? Your own private pool is ready and waiting for you. I love the views of the pool and beach from the balconies.

Great place! Didn’t hear a single complaint from a certain member of our family who finds at least one thing to complain about with wherever we rent for vacation. Bama Beach Houses we’re great about responding to emails promptly. Check-in and check-out were the easiest processes I’ve ever experienced. Be sure to bring extra trash bags! We only had one for the kitchen trash can and ended up having to go buy a box (which was not a big deal). We will definitely be returning to this property!

This is a great house for large families We were very pleased with the layout of the house everyone has their own bathroom which is very nice when you’re entertaining 14 guest. The house could use some updating as far as some of the furniture. Also I know it’s impossible to keep but a few more pots and pans would’ve been nice as well it wasn’t a large variety. But it would not keep me from running this house again the owners were excellent to work with the maintenance staff was quick to respond to any repair or issue that we may have had. Highly recommend
