Please note: this home is absolutely beachfront. It is located right on the gulf, with nothing between you and the gulf except the sand dunes. However, as with many areas on the gulf, you CANNOT walk directly from the back of this home to the water because of the protected dunes. They serve a very important role in protecting the homes, and harboring wildlife, and walking over them is not allowed as it breaks them down. However, there is a nice wide boardwalk right off our little private cul de sac (in fact, right by the closest of the pools which is ALSO right on our cul de sac, 2 homes over, so "right there"). This short boardwalk takes you directly to the beach/water, and, as a bonus, is great for folks who may have mobility concerns or may be lugging stuff in wagons or what have you! :-)

Enjoyed this home. Great location right on beach. Nice swimming pools. Nicely stocked kitchen & 2 refrigerators was a nice bonus.House was clean.AC seemed to freeze up at times with excessive condensation on air vents. Water dripped on beds and floor. This was a minor issue. Also leak above one of doors during hard rain and a rotten board on floor of one bedroom. None of these issues impacted our stay but wanted to point them out.Would definitely stay in this home again!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. It was quiet, relaxing, beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We had convenient access to the beach, the pools, and numerous recreational activities. The groceries were a short drive away, if you absolutely needed a break from the beach there were plenty of options for local entertainment. We usually vacationed in Destin, but this was so much less crowded! A definite win for our family!

We loved our stay here! Access to the resort amenities was amazing and the oceanfront view was stunning! The pools were cold, but the kids still swam and we utilized the indoor pool as well. House was clean and as described & we had easy communication with the hosts. We would stay here again if we decide to come back to the area.

Having access to everything Kiva Dunes offers—7 pools, tennis, and world-class golf—really does elevate the beach experience. I totally hear you on the outdoor pools being a bit "refreshing" in early April. It’s always a win to have that indoor pool as a backup for when the Gulf breeze is kicking, though kids always seem to have ice water in their veins anyway! 🧊🏊♂️

We enjoyed our stay at the beach. We enjoyed watching the waves from the deck! Also the Sun rise and sunset are both beautiful! The bed was very nice and comfortable! The two problems we had, hvac on main floor didn’t work on our arrival and birds in the vent, were both handled quickly and without interruption of our stay. Great job! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home and for your hospitality!

We were a bit surprised to see a star lost for pricing, as this home is often highlighted for exceptional value compared to similar beachfront homes in the area. Since we didn’t hear from you during or after your stay, we’d love to know what you were comparing or what could have made your visit better.
For a 5-bedroom beachfront home with private pool, decks, and all amenities, the nightly cost per bedroom is markedly less than a standard hotel room off the beach. VRBO’s service fees and optional insurance do add considerably to the cost, but the home itself remains a true value — and you even scored a rare complimentary night, making it an even better deal! 😉

We have a large family with several toddlers and small children. The house was comfortable and location ideal. The pool is close by as well as the beach. The house is well equipped. The property is nice, and we liked having a restaurant onsite for a meal out without packing all the little ones in car seats. Susan was helpful with questions.

We all had such a great time! The house was great, plenty of room and plenty of bedrooms. Although we spent most of our time outside on the decks. The location is perfect, far enough from the congestion of gulf shores but not that far of a drive. Same goes for the location of the house on the property! Had access to all of the amenities but could go through that fence to have time with just our family! Was the best vacation we had in awhile!

This townhome was great for my family - very spacious! It was well stocked with utensils and all things needed. The location was absolutely perfect — especially for all the small kids we had - very close to one of many pools and the walk to the beach was only 3-4 minutes.

We had a great time with our family. We are a family of athletes that is why my husband and I enjoyed being at gulf shores plantation. Beach is great— jelly fish were bad by the way. Pools are great. They had a lot of fun playing tennis, pickle ball, and basketball on the courts there and of course sand volleyball. Your house was very nice. We did not have to call your the management company at all.

We had a great time at Gulf and Golf. We do this every three years with all our kids and grandkids. The house was great and accommodating for the 18 of us. The winds were high most of the week with double red flag warnings 3 of the day. Nevertheless we still got some quality beach time. It worked out having access to the pools and amenities of the resort. We will definitely be back next time.

We only had to reach out to local management once bc the deadbolt was not working. The response was immediate and issue was resolved within an hour.
We are sad that life has to go back to normal, but, when we are able to get a date where we can all vacation together again, we will definitely be reaching out.

We had a great time!! The house is in a great location as it is close to the pool and the boardwalk to the beach. The air conditioner worked great during one of the hottest weeks of the year. There is a great view of the ocean from the porch however the current porch chairs have you sitting eye level with the porch rails. I liked that there were two refrigerators as we used one for drinks and the other for food.... Overall it was a great family vacation!

Great stay! This was a very nice vacation property. The location is great and having access to the resort pools, tennis courts, and exercise facility was perfect. I would stay here again!

Right on the Beach; Close Access to Pools. We rented 13A and as advertised it was right on the beach with gorgeous views. There are dunes out back so to access the beach you have a very short walk past 2 houses right next door (via paved cul-de-sac), go through a gate and boom you are on the walkway to the beach less than 100 steps). Once you go through the gate you can either go to the left 10 steps to the pool(s) or to the right 10 steps to the walkway to the beach. The property itself w/all it's bedrooms and mix of king, queen and bunk beds accommodates large families and groups. It was perfect for us. The inside is very bright and cheery. It does have 2 refrigerators (bonus!), washer/dryer and comes with 4-5 parking spaces. I marked the check-in process at 4 stars because we did have some problems getting in due to an issue w/the keypad. Luckily we found an open door. It did take some time to coordinate from owner to management company but they were responsive and someone came out the next day to get the keypad working. Also, I did mark 4 stores for accuracy of the listing because the virtual tour is for the side we rented (13A) but the still pictures must be for the other side. We were pleased with the side we got because the sleeping options fit our group better. I didn't get a chance to speak to the owners about this but will. I marked the cleanliness of the property to 4 stars because there were some smaller items - the floors did not seem to be mopped on the upper level (gritty so we mopped) and the outlets on the main floor and the bathroom need to be replaced because they are worn out (meaning when you put a plug in it just falls out of the socket). Communication w/the owner was great so he is aware of this to fix in the future. This property is located in Ft. Morgan so its about 10-15 minutes away from major traffic and shopping. We all enjoyed the beautiful big sandy beach, grilling out, access to pools and the quietness of the location. We definitely recommend it.

We had four families (19 total) stay here over spring break 2023 and we had a great time! The property location was excellent and very close access to a boardwalk/beach. Beautiful property and unbelievable view from the house. The amenities at the adjacent resort were also very nice, as there were plenty of activities for our wide range of guests to partake in. Would absolutely choose this place if we were to do this trip again!

Great location! A few minor issues during our stay including some confusion at check in but all was dealt with swiftly by management. Clean space with awesome views. Comfy beds. Great water pressure. Super close to pool and beach boardwalk! Would definitely stay again. Staff was super friendly and helpful if any issues arose! Just steps away from pool, hot tub, and beach!

Great property for our group of all ages! Each bedroom had tv along with big screen in living room. Close to beach and pools. Loved 2 frigs & washer and dryer. Great parking area for all of our vehicles. Trash pickup, maintenance crew came quickly for few minor repairs! Exercise room was being renovated but looked like great area. Overall we would definitely rent this unit again!

This property is perfection! Just a few steps to the beach and the pool, this house had everything we could ask for! Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, refrigerator and pantry space, and the location is a quick drive to every thing we wanted to do while on our vacation. We will definitely book here again if possible!

Excellent location for the beach house. All the amenities of the Golf & Gulf Resort come with this rental! Enjoying So many of them…truly helped all of us. I do believe the large front windows need to be changed out to view better from within the beach house. I took photos of the outside wooden window trim that needs attention… we didn’t want to be responsible. The property manager said in an email that he would have the problem addressed. I called for more items and we received what I had asked for…a new coffee maker (in the box) was one of the items needed. The bedrooms were set up nicely and there is enough bathrooms. Our family for the most part truly enjoyed this beach house…We would rebook this beach house too!

We had a great week's stay! It was our first time at Fort Morgan. We usually stay in Gulf Shores. We were concerned with the added drive back and forth for things we needed or like to do, however, it was nice to be a bit away from the congestion and it was a straight shot in to Walmart and an easy drive in and out of Gulf Shores. We were also concerned about not being able to walk directly out to the beach, but the walk over to the boardwalk from the pool was close and the boardwalk made walking easier. Having access to the pool was really nice for the kids. We also took advantage of the resort's lounges and umbrellas and rented four for the week. It was nice to have lounges and shade when we wanted it and we didn't have to worry about set up or take down. There was plenty of room for meals and hanging out. We had 5 vehicles and it was tight. I am not sure how you could fit more than that as the group on the other side also had about as many. The deck is not real large but there is a great space under the house to hang out. It was a huge benefit to have two refrigerators! We kept beverages and ice in one and food in the other. Check in and Check out was very easy. We did not have any dish towels or kitchen wash towels. We made due with paper towels but would have brought some if we had known. Not a lot of bath towels but we managed. Be sure and bring beach towels. The house is in excellent shape and the wear and tear of rental use were minor. AC and hot water was excellent. We have rented several houses in the area and this was very well built and maintained. Kitchen area is a bit tight but the family area was roomy. Would very highly recommend this house.

Our week was Good. We had plenty of beds for family. Beach access close. We loved decked space underneath house! Only issue was internet access. We did not have any which was a problem for family members trying to access work away from home.
Hi Sheila! So glad you had a great time and loved our place and the space! I apologize for the issue with the internet. Normally it is very good, running 100MB both ways. But it is the beach, and storms, sand, and salt, wreak havoc on connections. I'm generally able to trouble shoot anything that happens inside over text/phone with guests (I was a school teacher and tech coordinator as well as network services at a university), but not when its the signal to the home, sorry! When you return, definitely keep me in the loop (as we did work on it together early on, but then I didn't hear anything else and assumed it was a-okay). Out there, service is actually provided by a local provider, not AT&T, and from what I can tell, that provider came out, and checked and fixed the other side. I then had them go back, when I learned you were still down. Not sure why AT&T would have been out, or who would have said they couldn't fix it (might have been the mgt co tech guy) which is odd indeed. I do totally understand the desire for connectivity even when on vacay and am sorry that the loss of service to my home affected your otherwise awesome stay! Thanks again! Rick

The home was very clean on check in. Check in process was easy upon arrival. However the property managing team caused a slight hiccup regarding guest Identification the day before arrival but the owner was very helpful with resolving this right away. The house was very roomy. Right on the beach. You walk out the house on the beach. Well stocked kitchen for all meals to be prepared. The out door furniture needs some attention. The table and chairs are worn, torn and broken. The entire glass top was missing from the big table. We was looking forward to having lunch out side that Sunday. Most of the electrical outlets are worn out. Our devices would not stay plugged in to charge. We learned soon which ones worked better. We loved all the table seating in the kitchen and dinning are. It would be nice to keep a start up salt and pepper. Two refrigerators! Great parking for everyone. Lots of towels. Sheets was clean but other bedding needs to be replaced. Some are torn with iron burns. Others are faded with old stains. The property is located next to a resort that this property was advertised as sister properties and we would have access to the resort's pools and restaurants. Well we was very close to two of the outside pools and had no problem accessing them. The indoor pool was badge access ONLY! There was no access badge left in our home. I IM the team the day before check in and inquired about this. The response was " I would not need anything. When we couldn't get in the indoor pool building the I texted the local management team again and they responded with there should be armbands in the kitchen drawer or on the bar. It was not. Needless to say we did not access to the indoor pools this stay. Because it was a rainy weekend and a bit cool. This was one of the main reason we booked this property. Small disappointment. The property is 10-15 minutes away from the main strip and main groceries stores and restaurants. Get what you need before you settle in for the night. There is a small local grocery store near by. Overall I will say the local management team was very timely with responding to the small issues we had with wifi and TV remotes. We enjoyed being right on the beach with all the balconies with large glass doors. The rainy days did not allow us to be outside the hold time. The house is a duplex but we had no neighbors during our stay. we did walked the community on Sunday with the kids. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We have a large family and this house accommodated us well. It was clean upon arrival. We had lots of littles with us, and they had so much fun playing in the sand and being on the beach. We loved having access to the pool and hot tub, as well. We had no issues during our stay and never had to contact the property management. We would definitely recommend this house for large families!

The house was the perfect size for our group of families with kids ranging from 3-11. Easy access from the house to the beach and all amenities. Well stocked kitchen and great seating options for so many people. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add picnic tables under the house for outdoor eating. We loved it and can’t wait to stay again!

Home was wonderful, location was right on the beach and there was an on property restaurant which is wonderful for grabbing lunch from the beach. You are about 20 min from Gulf Shores but avoid the crowds. The tennis courts are a little run down but it was nice to have Kiva Dunes on property...we got to sneak away for a round of golf and dinner at the club!

Great vacation! My family really enjoyed this duplex! Very roomy and right on the beach in a resort with a golf course. It was the week of July 4th, so it was a little crowded at times in the pools and on the beach but definitely not as busy as a PCB or similar beach. Bedrooms are spacious, bathrooms are nice, and amenities were great! Highly recommend. Owner/management communication was great as well.

Very nice! Great house for a family. Someone wrote that it was shabby. It must have been freshly painted since that review. Everything was very fresh. It didn’t have all the white furniture that some of the houses do, but that was fine with us. I didn’t want to worry about my grandchildren staining the white furniture. The management and owner responded very quickly to any issues we had. The pool and hot tub were near the house, but not near enough to be too noisy for us. The beach of course was also right there. The place was also immaculate when we got there. There was a nice sand volleyball court and tennis courts. Overall a a very nice house and location!

Great! Overall we were very pleased with out stay! The house was up to par and met the description. The only heated pool at the sister resort was closed the only two good weather days we had(they waited until spring break to paint the deck around the pool.) But at no fault of the rental agency. Access to the Beach was via a wooden walkway a couple houses down instead of right off the back of the property. Other than that everything else was very pleasant. We would come back again!

First I want to say that your house is absolutely gorgeous. It was very accommodating and well stocked with supplies to cook and clean. It was all good on the WiFi once we got the neighbors password and it really wouldn’t have been a big deal if we could have at least sent a text or get phone calls without going outside. The bedrooms were really roomy and we didn’t even go in 2 out of the 5 bedrooms and being that there was just 4 of us I’m sure it wasn’t hard to clean when we left. I wasn’t sure if this was your first time renting this house, if you just purchased it, or it’s been rented several times. I talked to one of the neighbors from house 4, they just sold their house and they said your house was just remodeled. I think if we were at max capacity it would have suited us just fine. It’s a huge house. The location is fantastic. The same owner of house 4 said he used to be on the board of the HOA and they are working on changing the rules of having dogs (they had a dog with them and actually we saw quite a few dogs) which will be good because it’s so hard leaving those family members behind. Like we talked about on the phone, a book or manual to the house is always nice, took me a while to figure out that there were two thermostats controlling bottom and top floors, and boy do those AC units work great! The linens on the master bed on the room with the balcony were torn and shredded, almost looks like it was melted in the dryer, and there was only one other king size quilt to replace it that I could find. The main door to that bedroom the hinge was coming out of the wall so we couldn’t shut the door all the way (not a huge problem for us but maybe for other people). Your furniture through the house is very nice and accommodating. When I go on vacation/getaway I want a nice, comfortable, dreamy bed to sink my tired body into. I can only speak for the king bed on the second floor, it was none of those. It wasn’t the worst bed I have slept on, but it definitely wasn’t the best. One more thing, the door on the beach side wont stay closed unless you lock it. We came back to the house and the door was wide open because we thought it was shut but we did not lock it as this is how we were going to the beach. Overall it was a great stay and you were very accommodating and helpful. We really enjoyed the house and next time we visit gulf shores your house will be first on the list to book. The home was exactly as described and felt roomy and comfortable. Hurricane Sally damage on the condos in the complex lead them to keep all the pools closed (disappointing since the pool beside the house was clean and nice) but we enjoyed the beach and wonderful weather. Thankful for our time there and the beautiful home!
