Pool is under the home. A bit like an indoor pool. Big: 24x12x3-5 FT Rectangle! Great respite from hot hot hot, as well as inclement weather! Heatable too (nightly surcharge applies). Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82' (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a nightly surcharge (varies by season and with gas market price, has been $60-85 per night, just inquire, and must be for length of stay (this is based on market pricing for propane gas, and can change at any time, both up and down, until added to a reservation). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Simply request the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a week before check in so we can get it on before you arrive.
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for at least 8 cars. More if you park under them home and stack carefully.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

Beautiful house! Plenty of room for a big family like ours. Everyone had their own room & restrooms, big kitchen, living room and family room made it just perfect! Had a great family vacation and we want to thank you for sharing your home with us. The pool under the house was a huge plus! Being on the beach and catching the sunrise, sunset everyday was spectacular.

[🤗 Hi Melissa! Glad you had a nice time. Bummed to get a 3 on my normally 5 star home! I have to admit — I'm genuinely surprised by this one.
Erica's has 100+ reviews and an average right around 4.95. The guest right before your stay had a 5 star experience, the guest who checked in the day you checked out left 5 stars, and honestly, yours is the only 3 the home has ever received. So this really stands out — and with no note left on the review, and no communication from you during the stay, makes it challenging to know how to respond (or to make improvements for guests like you).

House was in a perfect location. Right on the beach, no crowds. Loved that each room had its own bathroom! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean. I wish there would have been some beach chairs anda grill available

And an en-suite bathroom for every room? Total game-changer with a group — no morning traffic jams! On the beach chairs and grill: we'd love to leave those out, but as we note in the listing (and a few times in our pre-trip info), chairs can't stay on the beach overnight around here — the local "Leave Only Footprints" rule sweeps them away! And people aren't great about bringing them in, so they disappear. Often what I'll do for those, or a grill, if one hasn't been 'inherited' from prior guests at the place, is just grab some inexpensive chairs, an umbrella, even a kettle grill from one of the local stores — even the big box stores — they're usually well stocked. [p🥳 Yippee! 😉 Thanks for the 5-star love Stephanie! 🤩 I am so glad to hear that Erica's Sandpiper was the perfect fit for your large group. "Erica" is my middle daughter... and taking a turn behind the wheel after our own trip down there! Finding an 8-bedroom house like Erica's Sandpiper that is /all on one level/ is a total "unicorn" on the coast—it makes togetherness so much easier when you don't have to deal with stairs all day! Fewer stairs, but not the big expense of elevator homes (which are often even bigger and much more expensive--I have a couple though if you need one in the future!).
And double SCORE 🙌 that you snagged one of the rare private beachhomes with a heatable pool. That's another way ES is a unicorn on the gulf. Those are very rare, and when a place has it, it will definitely be shouted out in the listing, and will also have a nightly surcharge for heating it--unlike condos and hotels where the cost is split across all the guests, in a private home, having a high powered heater bring the temp from the low 70s (or below! 🥶) to 84 takes a lot of gas for your use, and your use alone. So nice, and a pro-move to have found it and opted for it. They aren't hot tubs, but it definitely makes the difference between only us crazy people jumping in 🤪, and a rec pool comfy swim for most folks!

We loved, loved, LOVED the beach house and we're considering making this an annual trip if not every other year. If you'll have us, that is. In fact, I talked it up so much to my family, another vacation may be in the works with the fam as well! I so wanted to take advantage of your booking discount however I wasn't sure of everyone's availability. We did our best following all instructions provided & hope we did not disappoint. The management team was very quick to respond & fixed the issue quickly. (One of the toilets wouldn't flush.)

We have stayed in Gulf Shores, AL with Bama Beach Houses three times now in the past several years at three different beach houses. The last two houses were one level houses, Summertide and Erica's Sandpiper. Both of those houses have eight (8) bedrooms. We had no problems at any of their houses, the management company was responsive when contacted (entry code did not work once), and the owners were also very responsive. Our stay this year at Erica's Sandpiper was remarkable. Plenty of room for our crew of nineteen (19), big kitchen with two (2) refrigerators, bathrooms en-suite in each bedroom, large rectangular heated pool under the house, easy access to the beach. We already are looking forward to returning next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Erica’s. The house is beautiful and I have to say the pictures online really don’t do the house justice. We were in awe when we arrived! So much space and beauty! The house was clean. The pool was clean (and just a great asset for our family). We loved the deck, the short trip to the beach and we all just had a great vacation. Thank you!

We had a great time staying in Erika's Sandpiper. There was plenty of room to spread out and each room has its own bathroom which is fabulous. The kitchen was well stocked with mixers, pans, bowls, a toaster, etc and had 2 refrigerators which helped out a lot with a big group. Plenty of parking for our cars and a great space underneath with the pool area. We will definitely come back!

We had an amazing adventure over two crazy winter months. We experienced the generational snow storm of 2025 and tanned in the sun a few weeks later. Wonderful space for our annual Thanksgiving Retreat. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and two refrigerators. Great hosts, responsive and thoughtful.

The house layout is great for a big family. The location is perfect and the pool area was nice. We loved having a bathroom for every bedroom. It was clean at check-in. Suggestions would be new mattresses, new couches and tall chairs for the balcony.

Glad you all had a great time, and you loved the layout and that everything was super clean on arrival! 😎 I appreciate the suggestions too--I don't see anything negative here, so maybe the lost star is about one of those. FWIW, none of the mattresses were broken down so it probably wasn't that. I know several are super firm (which I THINK you mentioned to me directly but I can't find it right now...) which is my preference (I don't like soft, whereas my wife doesn't mind AND we are opposite on pillows: she likes firm, me = soft!). Go figure. Anyway, can't do much about the personal preference things like that, though we DID swap out two queens that were extra firm--kept them for myself. 🤪 Not sure what couch you had an issue with but I have had one of the sleeper sofas changed out since your stay too! I do understand why higher chairs on the deck, with the dunes having gotten taller, would be a nicety, but can't justify ditching the current ones just for that, especially since we just put in that AWESOME new deck with all the fixin's! If you had anything else specific, and see this, please shoot me a note--always looking for ways to improve, and of course would love to get that wayward star back when you come back next time! A great 40th

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with extended family. The house was perfect for our needs. It was far enough from condos to not have a big beach crowd but an easy drive to town. We had two small things we needed fixing. We called first night and they were fixed the next morning. We left a couple pieces of clothing. They found them before we even missed the and mailed them. It was great!

We loved staying at Erica’s Sandpiper. It was in a beautiful, quiet spot right on the gulf. Far enough away from the crowds, but close enough to make grocery store runs or go out to eat. The inside had plenty of space and was very clean.

The house was great. We have a large family and everyone had their own space. Kitchen had almost everything you need. It is only a short walk to the beach! And the heated pool was great for the little ones and adults of an evening.

Very happy with our stay. A few minor things that I made host aware of. Broken table on back porch (side was chipped), trash can in the kitchen was the same. There was a tropical storm while we were there, some rain blew in the sliding doors, small enough to clean up with a towel, and microwave quit working after slight power surge during the storm. Host was very attentive throughout stay. House was beautiful and pvt beach access was the best!!!

House was great for our family. Tons of bedrooms and each had an en suite bathroom though some bathrooms and showers are fairly small so take that into consideration when deciding who sleeps where:) The house was well appointed though there is a bit of wear and tear. Nothing that hindered our enjoyment or wouldn’t be expected from a house being steadily rented. We loved the layout with the central kitchen and two separate sitting / living rooms. Location is fabulous and can’t be beat; the beach is nice and quiet. We had no problems at all during our stay and the check in process / emails made things very easy. We would recommend the house and the rental company.

Huge house with each bedroom having their own bathroom. With our big family, this was perfect and no complaining of having to wait. Water seemed to stay warm enough for whole house. The temp in house was great. Kitchen had all the cooking utensils needed. Tons of seating inside & out. 2 living rooms, I now need 2 at home. Teens & kids hung out in one and adults in other. Short walk to the beach, huge deck. Man I could go on and on. When we make it back to Gulf Shores, we will definitely look back into renting this house. We loved everything about this house.

It was wonderful trip! So many memories made. And the house was perfect, everyone could have some privacy when the needed and we loved the 2 living areas. We sure added more laughter into walls and ceilings. I am positive that you will be hearing from us again for another trip.

It was a great week. We had four generations of our family there. We have been going to Gulf Shores as a family for 34 years. I think we have been renting this house for 11 or 12 years. Plan to go back next year. Thanks again and I hope you have a blessed day.

We absolutely loved Erica’s Sandpiper. The one story layout was great for some of the older family members to get around. The bedroom layout with each having its own bath was perfect. And there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We had some great days out on the deck and easy walks to the beach, which is why we go. Even enough space for card games and puzzles. Definitely recommend

This place was great. Will come back again with a big group. 16 of us were all comfortable. The layout of the place is the best. Everybody on one floor but even with 16 people it was never crowded. The location is just minutes from town. Nice and quiet. Had the whole beach to ourselves. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

Our stay was perfect! Weather and water were beautiful all week and the house was perfect for our family! We have been renting houses in the Fort Morgan/Gulf Shores area for 30+ years now and Erica's Sandpiper is officially my favorite. The location and accommodations can't be beat! The new deck was great. We also enjoyed getting to sit on the deck and watch the wedding at the Egret this week. (We stayed at the Egret last year and moved to Erica's Sandpiper this year due to the wedding party having already booked the Egret for this year).
The house was very clean when we arrived and we did not have any issues arise during our stay so we did not have any contact with the management company. Love having all of the childproof gates on the porches and around the pool. This is especially helpful for containing my rambunctious 4 year old (we have a pool at home as well so we are always conscious of his whereabouts when outside, but the gates with locks that he can't open are a nice added peace of mind).
We will definitely be back to Erica's Sandpiper in the future! Due to some family health issues that have recently arisen, we are not able to pin down vacation dates/plans for next summer yet, but even if not next year, we will for sure be back!

We loved the house! It was so spacious and fit our family great! We had 8 adults and 4 kids under the age of 4. The house was very clean with a great layout. The 2 dens and 2 refrigerators helped greatly! We loved the location - not in the middle of all the hubbub yet close enough to get anything we wanted without a problem! It was also nice that the house was close enough to the water to make it easy to go back in forth with the little ones! Plan to head back next year! Thanks Rick!

We had a great time at Erica's. We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom (I think the listing shows 7 baths and actually had 8). House condition was equivalent to others we have stayed in. We had to nail down some nails sticking up on the patio and management was quick to respond when one of the heaters didn't turn on when the cold front came in. I think there were only 3 forks in the kitchen, so we bought plastic wear and made it work.... The pool was too cold for the adults to swim in comfortably- kids under 6 didn't care. House was closer to the beach than the pictures looked and the lower deck was nice to sun on when wind got crazy on the beach. Friday we went to "the track" since it was pretty cool out and left Saturday morning before checkout time. Very memorable trip and your property accommodated all of us very well. Thanks for all of your cooperation!

Everyone, in all 6 of our families, enjoyed our stay at Erica's Sandpiper during the 1st week of August 2020, during Covid-19. The experience was beyond what we imagined when we first started our family vacation planning. We can tell that there is a lot of love surrounding this house. Although we didn't use many of the extra gadgets available, we did notice the variety and how well kept these items were. I was shocked to see the sparkling new utensils in the drawer. I certainly didn't expect to find that in a beach house. The 2 refrigerators were definitely a necessity. They got filled up within the 1st hour we were there. The 2 dining rooms made it very comfortable for everyone to enjoy their meals. We loved having the pool option with chairs and tables under the house. It was the perfect size for our family and the depth of the pool allowed us to sit back and relax when the kids took over. The outside shower was a fabulous idea. I looked forward to that after leaving the beach and realized I was carrying half of the ocean's sand back to the house with me. ;) The unlimited access to the beach with only our family surrounding us was definitely an added bonus. We didn't have to "fight" with others over space. I don't think we'll ever be able to return to another beach after being spoiled with our private area. I found it interesting to see who the pool lovers and beach lovers were. Being able to go between the two gave everyone lots to do throughout the day. Many of us took advantage of the deck. So many different things to see: dolphins, family members swimming, waves crashing, sunrise and sunset, special red colored moons and lots of stars. Some of looked forward to just sitting out there for some quiet time at different times of the day. Very relaxing. We were able to purchase 2 charcoal grills at $20 each from Walmart, which allowed us to have our BBQ style family dinners. My sister also cooked pizzas on the grills!!! The house was the perfect size for our family. There was plenty of room to just walk around on the inside and for the kids to travel around to visit different family members in different rooms. I never felt smothered even at full capacity. We used every room and enjoyed all of the televisions. Having a bathroom in EVERY room was a life saver. Such a marvelous idea!!! The fans in the room were greatly appreciated as well as allowing us to control the temperature in both sections of the house. We learned who the hot bodied and freezing bodied people were very quickly. We had the chance to chat with the neighbors. They were extremely nice. In fact, we found that most of our experiences with visitors and locals were very pleasant. Prior to our departure, we had a very special delivery from Erica's Sandpiper's owner, CHEESECAKE!!! What a very kind gesture and a nice surprise. I know we all would love to visit Erica's Sandpiper again or venture to one of your other houses. We'll definitely consider returning on our next visit to the Gulf Shores. Thank you for allowing us to make memories in your lovely home!

We had a great time and really enjoyed the house. We had an issue with 1 toilet (broken flusher) and it was quickly fixed. We had some brown water 1 day and the maintenance guy came quickly and told us it was due to something with the city pipes; it was only for a short time. We saw the pool guys a few times and they were always friendly. We enjoyed the cheese cake – thank you!

We rented Erica’s Sandpiper and The Egret for a week for a family vacation and wedding. They were both fantastic houses and surpassed our expectations! Everything was nice and clean, the views of the Gulf from the upper decks were breathtaking, and we even had wonderful views of dolphins from the upper decks at both houses! We would definitely stay at either of these houses again or even a different Bama Beach House. The owners were very easy to work with. The property management company was attentive. There was one issue getting the Gulf side door to open on Erica’s Sandpiper. We reported it and someone came out right away to repair it.

Erica’s Sandpiper was great for our family trip! House was furnished with all appliances needed for our stay. A couple mattresses could be replaced but overall it was good. Maintenance people were excellent!! Would definitely recommend this house for a large family or group. Pool under the house was great to just sit around in the evening.

The main attraction and place to get out of the sun was the pool under the house. We spent many hours playing pool volleyball, after being in the sun on the beach. The management team and owners were excellent with communication and making our stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this house for your stay in Gulf Shores, AL.

Cleanliness when we arrived was iffy but nothing we couldn’t power through and straighten up. Last night during a heavy storm almost every window had water coming in. Wound up piling towels to stop it.

We loved the house! With 11 adults and 6 very young children the layout was perfect. All rooms on one level was amazing especially for me with a bad knee. Easy access to the beach! Two refrigerators an added plus. Traveling with small children we do a lot of our meals ourselves. The oven needs new elements as they are bent. Some of the cookware needs to be replaced. We bought a muffin pan and skillet, left them there if we get to return maybe what we left will still be there. Also some nails on lower deck need to be hammered into the wood. Erica’s Sandpiper is great!!!

Our family and 3 other families stayed at Erica’s Sandpiper 2022 spring break and had an awesome time. This is a very clean and spacious home right on the beach. We had a blast and don’t have any complaints about the house or the area. If you are looking for a place with lots of room for a large group and plenty of rooms and bathrooms this is a great place!

Our stay was pleasant. We enjoyed the pool and the easy access to beach quite a bit. The pool couldn't keep warm after a couple of hours in the morning but it didn't matter much for the kids and adults alike. Luckily, the weather cooperated through out our stay! As per the house itself, we loved the location as well as the layout. All the rooms were clean and spacious enough for our little ones to have some space to play in for whatever little time they spent inside the house. We had a small snag with the garbage disposal but the management team got back later that evening and sent help the next day and they simply replaced it as it was pretty old apparently. Again, no issues there. Just glad it was resolved the next day. All in all, our stay was great. Thank you for renting your beautiful house to us. We do this every year at least once but usually go to Pensacola Beach and Destin. All of us enjoyed the more quieter Gulf Shores area with the house right on the beach. There were red and purple flags in the Gulf after the third day of our stay so couldn't go into the water much but we made it up by spending time in the pool and thre beach instead.

This house was a perfect fit for our family and friends. There were 17 of us and everyone had a bed and plenty of room to spread out. Walk off the back porch and you are on the beach or sit on the porch and watch the dolphins and the birds. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies to cook with.

Erica’s Sandpiper is a beautiful beach house - right back n the white sands of Gulf Shores Beach. The house was cleaned and ready for check-in. Rooms are nice and big and beds comfortable but ah the views!!! Bama Beach Houses was a great company to work with. If last ok’ing from r a beautiful beach house close to ALL activities and yet a quiet beach then check out Erica’s Sandpiper! You won’t be disappointed!

Our hearts hurt seeing the devastation around the community. We're looking forward to planning our next vacation. On a happier note, I'd like to share our experience with the rest of the Google Community. Everyone, in all 6 of our families, enjoyed our stay at Erica's Sandpiper during the 1st week of August 2020, during Covid-19. The experience was beyond what we imagined when we first started our family vacation planning. We can tell that there is a lot of love surrounding this house. Although we didn't use many of the extra gadgets available, we did notice the variety and how well kept these items were. I was shocked to see the sparkling new utensils in the drawer. I certainly didn't expect to find that in a beach house. The 2 refrigerators were definitely a necessity. They got filled up within the 1st hour we were there. The 2 dining rooms made it very comfortable for everyone to enjoy their meals. We loved having the pool option with chairs and tables under the house. It was the perfect size for our family and the depth of the pool allowed us to sit back and relax when the kids took over. The outside shower was a fabulous idea. I looked forward to that after leaving the beach and realized I was carrying half of the ocean's sand back to the house with me. 😉 The unlimited access to the beach with only our family surrounding us was definitely an added bonus. We didn't have to "fight" with others over space. I don't think we'll ever be able to return to another beach after being spoiled with our private area. I found it interesting to see who the pool lovers and beach lovers were. Being able to go between the two gave everyone lots to do throughout the day. Many of us took advantage of the deck. So many different things to see: dolphins, family members swimming, waves crashing, sunrise and sunset, special red colored moons and lots of stars. Some of looked forward to just sitting out there for some quiet time at different times of the day. Very relaxing. We were able to purchase 2 charcoal grills at $20 each from Walmart, which allowed us to have our BBQ style family dinners. My sister also cooked pizzas on the grills!!! The house was the perfect size for our family. There was plenty of room to just walk around on the inside and for the kids to travel around to visit different family members in different rooms. I never felt smothered even at full capacity. We used every room and enjoyed all of the televisions. Having a bathroom in EVERY room was a life saver. Such a marvelous idea!!! The fans in the room were greatly appreciated as well as allowing us to control the temperature in both sections of the house. We learned who the hot bodied and freezing bodied people were very quickly. We had the chance to chat with the neighbors. They were extremely nice. In fact, we found that most of our experiences with visitors and locals were very pleasant. Prior to our departure, we had a very special delivery from Erica's Sandpiper's owner, CHEESECAKE!!! What a very kind gesture and a nice surprise. I know we all would love to visit Erica's Sandpiper again or venture to one of your other houses. Great home for our large family vacation. This was a great choice for our large family vacation. We loved the location, closeness to the beach and ocean and that it’s a 1 level home.

The location of the house is perfect! It sits right on the beach and is an easy drive to local shops and restaurants. The upper deck is unfortunately small but has a wonderful view of the ocean. The lower deck has ample space to hangout on. The layout of the house and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms is a major positive for large families. Having two refrigerators in the kitchen is super helpful for keeping large amounts of food and beverages. The house was stocked well with plates, cups, utensils, etc. Negatives (yet fixable) were a subpar stove with elements slow to heat up and the dishwasher didn't work well. The covered pool was freezing cold; heating it up would make it a bonus. There is a safety concern for families with small children since access to the pool from the back door and deck is open. The location of the house and number of bedrooms/bathrooms definitely outweigh the negatives which are fixable! Our family had a wonderful time and would choose to stay at Erica's Sandpiper again!

Great property! Beautiful white sands! Who could ask for more? We loved Erica’s Sandpiper! The house was beautiful with wonderful Gulf views! Just walked out onto the beach! Nice to also include a pool. Just a short hop over to all the shops and attractions at golf Shores! Would recommend and have recommended this property two other friends and family.

Perfect home for large groups. House was so accommodating. Everyone had a bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen had all necessary dishes and cookware. Perfect location to beach.

Great beach access! Nice spot for relaxation over spring break. We only had 5 but this home is really built to accommodate a crowd, including kids - sturdy and spacious. Everything was comfortable & clean. Great beach; it was very private. Wifi was strong, which was good for work access.

Very nice place. Right on the beach. The house needs a few updates and repairs however, we enjoyed our stay. It was a total of 27 of us. The Floyd family enjoyed the house. By the way Erica Sandpiper sits right on a private beach, with a private pool. We enjoyed the house from 8/1/20 until 8/8/20. Would definitely stay there again.

This was a amazing location.."on the beach" for sure. We were vacationing with 2 adults, 2 grandparents and a set of 2 year old twins. I was skepitcal about the "under the house" pool but it turned out to be a lifesaver! The young children could not be out in the sun for any lenght of time and the pool was the key! We had a place to play even when it rained! I would love to stay here again. The house was great, spacious, and the kitchen is loaded with utensils and everything we needed. The response time was amazing when we had a little problem with the dishwasher.. they just replaced it the next day. I would bring a few of my own dish towels but that was the only thing.
