Summertide is a sprawling gulf front home with 8 bedrooms and 5 baths, sleeping up to 26 people. It is located approximately 5.2 miles west of Hwy. 59 on West Beach Blvd., in Gulf Shores. A uniquely designed one level home, Summer Tide features a south and a north wing, each with a fully equipped kitchen and an open deck that wraps around the east side of the property. The layout for this home allows added privacy and is perfect for multiple families, or a family wanting some separation between adults and children.
The South wing of Summertide has four bedrooms, including 3 bedrooms with a king bed in each, one room with two double/single bunk beds, and a bunk room with two single bunks. There are three full baths in this wing: two private and one Hollywood bathroom (shared by the rooms with the queen bed and two twins). The master suite in this South wing is gulf front with picture windows and a tub–soak away your worries and enjoy the view.
The North wing of Summer Tide also features picture windows on the East side of the property offering views from the living area and kitchen. There are three bedrooms, each with a king bed, and two full baths (one private and one shared).
Please note the bunk room in the middle of the home has doors to both the north and south wings, and the east side of that room can act as a hallway when renting both wings (the "whole house"). Also, the wings can ONLY be rented separately in winter for long term "snow bird" type stays, and when this is done, they are completely self-contained.
Both living areas offer good great gulf views and each includes a queen sleeper sofa for a bit of extra sack space. A ground floor entry features a foyer and sleeping area with two bunk beds that would be great for four children. The covered parking for Summer Tide is ample.

Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82' (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a per night surcharge for length of stay (gas is expensive right now, this does not actually recoup the cost!). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Any online quote will show the optional fee and its current pricing. You may also add it after booking by simply requesting the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a few days before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. The location was amazing! The beach was not crowded and the pool was much bigger than most. It was a short drive into gulf shores and was also able to have a Walmart plus grocery delivery. Absolutely great for kids!!!

Another great vacation with the family. Bummed that we couldn't bounce back to Summertide on that week next year--someone booked it before we had a chance to! We had a wonderful time at Summertide. Perfect weather. We caught fish! The only down side was all the seaweed this year. We know you can't control that, and its been many years since seen it. We're all sad that we are not returning to Summertide next year. The house was great. We liked the new touches - new pictures, a cabinet over that thing in the master suite. As for next year, my son and daughter in law are trying to nail down family friends to join my immediate family next year at GS. As soon as we see how many bedrooms we will need, I will be in contact. But we will see you in 2028 at Summertide, if you will have us!

We had a blast!! Three generations: Grandparents, kids, and grandkids and all of us agree this place is the winner!! We have been renting houses on West Beach for the past 10 years and we were all amazed by the decor and comfort and spacious living area. We have very tall athletic men in our family and having king size beds in almost every bedroom was a relief. Everything we could possibly want or need was provided and the pool was wonderful- from our youngest (8 year old grandson) to hip hop and happening grandma (age is only a number 😎)we enjoyed it immensely. My husband was so impressed with the deck area that he is redoing the deck around our pool with composite lumber!! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us and we look forward to staying there again next year!!

View was gorgeous! House had plenty of room! Pool was great! We had 9 kids ages 1-13 and 8 adults and there was plenty of room. Definitely would stay here again! Oh and communication with the property management was amazing!

Summertide has plenty of bedrooms for extended family. Pool was clean, well-maintained. I called maintenance for a non-functioning garbage disposal and it was repaired before the morning was out. We loved having access to two kitchens/ovens/refrigerators. Access to beach, perfect! Communications with homeowners always open and responsive. Kitchen well-stocked with appliances and cooking utensils.

Our stay here was amazing! We definitely enjoyed the beautiful house, the pool and the gorgeous views! We saw dolphins every morning and afternoon. Loved how they sent a list of some of their picks for restaurants. (It helps to know the good places.). Over all I say 10 out of 10!

The Summertide house was great for our family vacation! There was plenty of room for the 14 of us – 8 adults and 6 children. The house was just like it appeared in the advertisement. The bedrooms and the living areas were nicely furnished and the place was very clean. Everyone in our family loves to swim so we really enjoyed the beach and the large swimming pool. The location was great – away from the crowds but close enough to easily to get to shops and restaurants. Everyone agreed that this was our best family vacation ever. Would love to come back.

Perfect ! Our adult children said it was the best vacation ever. It allowed our 8 grandchildren, 3 boys from Va. and 5 girls from Texas to become better acquainted. The beach is beautiful, quiet and natural and fishing was wonderful. Quite an accommodating home and location.

This home was everything we could’ve hoped for — and then some! It was spotless when we arrived, and the pictures truly don’t do it justice. Absolutely five-star lodging! The bathrooms were spacious and plentiful, and we never ran out of hot water. Every bedroom was cozy with queen-sized or larger beds and had its own fan for added comfort. We didn’t even find the second washer and dryer until our last day — that’s how spacious this house is!Our group included couples and singles, and everyone had plenty of room. The second kitchen was a bonus for food and fridge space. TVs in every room, tons of pillows, and multiple thermostats kept everyone happy and comfortable. The large glass dining table was perfect for group meals, and the downstairs entertainment area by the pool was ideal for our crawfish boil!And the beach? Incredible! Powdery white sand, perfectly warm water, and an easy, pleasant walk from the house. We carried our beach gear back and forth each day (can’t leave items overnight), and it never felt like a hassle. Plenty of rinse-off spots made cleanup easy. The location was also fantastic — just far enough from a nearby festival to avoid crowds, but close enough to enjoy the fireworks and lights from the beach. Covered parking was the unexpected hero of the trip. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great for large groups with kids

We had 5 families in our group with kids ranging from 2 to 13. This house worked out very well. Plenty of beds and each couple had their own bedroom. The pool was nice and large and the kids enjoyed playing there between going to the beach. Speaking of the beach, you can’t get any closer. A quick walk and you’re there. A nice deck to watch those on the beach and watch for dolphins, which we saw every day. The house is a little bit of a drive from town, so if you are looking to dine out every night, you will be driving a bit.

This house was great! Had everything we needed. We loved the two separate wings of the house for privacy when needed. The proximity to the beach can’t be beat. The pool was well maintained, plenty of chairs. Private beach was a game changer as well. We loved staying at summertide!

Stayed in Summertide in June '24 and it was perfect for our family of 19. Plenty of space and fantastic location. Close enough to town to not make driving in a chore but far enough out to allow for all kinds of space and privacy. We basically had the beach to ourselves for one hundred feet in both directions. The pool was considerably larger than many others we've stayed at, which was a big plus for all our younger kids who couldn't have as much fun in the ocean. Two separate kitchens and two washers and dryers made our necessary daily tasks much easier. Property managers were very helpful and responsive. Can't recommend Summertide enough.

It was a great time. We usually stay at the Carib but this was a new option we wanted to try out. As far as feedback, I would say the responsiveness to our initial concerns (about the bunk) was really great. Lots of positives overall. The beach proximity is amazing. The pool temperature was ideal.

Your home was a dream for our immediate and extended family! The same group took a trip together to Hawaii two years ago, but agreed this house and this location topped even that! We had children ranging from 17 down to one years old. The ability to have the option of the pool and the ocean for the kids with such ease and accessibility, allowing parents to so easily go back-and-forth between everything made the vacation so enjoyable for everybody!
We enjoyed our stay so much that we are seriously considering coming back not this coming year but the following. We were actually hoping for the same exact period of time. It appeared to be almost off-season as I swear we had the beach to ourselves most of the time! Truly, a dream!

Your home is beautiful and all of the children and grandchildren enjoyed the beach and the pool. The space and furnishings in the house are gorgeous. We enjoyed the back living area for games and Karaoke. 😂
Your kitchens were well stocked with everything we needed and we cooked dinners and breakfast. We also enjoyed the 51st Shrimp Festival, dolphin watching.
We loved having the privacy of the location but we were close to stores and souvenir shops when we needed them.

The layout of the home and the fact it’s right on the beach worked well for my family. The pool was used often during the evening or when the kids were through with the beach. Very little activity on the beach during our stay. The home is spacious and can accommodate multiple families with two kitchens. Close enough to town but far enough away from the large condos. Well equipped kitchens so stock up if you’re cooking. The owners were very responsive to any questions we may of had during our stay. Enjoy!

We have a great stay. We had a few hiccups as with any rental but they came to fix it that day…. Very timely and listened to whatever we needed!!! Beautiful home and we made so many family memories that will last us a lifetime. We had a lot of space and fortunate enough to have two kitchens to cook that was a blessing!

Very nice, clean house in a great location. We had a wonderful time with our kids and their families at Summertide. The house is big and has two sitting areas so there was room to spread out & not worry too much during nap times. We spent lots of time on the beach & then enjoyed the pool there. We had to call about the AC once & the repair guys came immediately. We also enjoyed watching the neighbor’s fireworks from the porch. Our grandkids had so much fun, well worth it!

I don't think we could have found a better place to stay in Gulf Shores. The one story layout was convenient but also spacious. The two separate kitchens and living areas worked especially well for our group. The location just a little way from downtown was so private. We pretty much had the gorgeous beach to ourselves. Although we spent a lot of time on the beach, we used the pool everyday too. It was clean and a very nice temperature. Both the management company and owner were also very responsive to questions and checking to make sure everything was OK. Check in and checkout were a breeze and so convenient when we had groups arriving at different times. If we plan a gulf Shores trip in the future, we would definitely try to stay here again.

We did enjoy it. Endured a pretty big storm on one day and had to call management co to clean blown sand out of pool and reset pool heater. They were very responsive.

Summertide was fabulous. It still felt secluded, and the private pool and 1 story nature of the main living space was exactly what we had hoped it would be! We wish we could go back to it next year, but our family is ever growing and we aren't certain if it'll work. We all agreed that Summertide is the best beach house we've experienced.

Beautiful home with private pool and beach. Loved the space the separate living areas and kitchens provided for our family vacation. Ocean view with the beach only steps over the dune. Restaurants and Orange beach only 20 minutes away. Management was quick to respond to small issues. Great place to make lasting memories.

We loved our week at Summertide! It was the perfect get away for an extended family trip. There was plenty of space to spread out as well as a large size common area that was easily big enough for all of us to come together and hang out. It was wonderful to have the back area that closes off to the main section of the house. We could easily put toddlers to bed and stay up playing board games with the teens and not wake the littles. The house decor is being updated and it is beautiful! The bedspreads are now all white and the couches in the main living room are leather and very comfortable. Being right on the beach was awesome as well. We saw dolphins every day from the kitchen/living room windows as well as while sitting on the beach. We paid for the pool to be heated and kids enjoyed that as well! We had quick responses from the owners and they were eager to help when notified...very thankful for them!! Highly recommend also stopping by Cherry On Top for dessert if you book here. It's an ice cream place just up the road and the new owners have been there just 2weeks. They are precious and their ice cream and snow cones were so tasty. Definitely would stay at Summertime again! Thanks for a fabulous week filled with so many fun memories for our family!

SummerTide and its owners provide an awesome beach experience. My wife and I have LOTS of experiences (many not very good) hosting our large family at Gulf Shores home rentals. Our first time renting SummerTide was in July of this year (2022). Location is fantastic. All appliances work. Very spacious rooms; the two "wings" give families additional privacy. The pool is clean and well maintained. The home was spotless and ready upon our 4pm arrival. Lots of positive and proactive communications during the week to us from BamaBeachHouses and the local Kaiser team. Book it, you'll love it!

Our extended family of 20 (now 21 as we just added a new baby girl) has gathered at Gulf Shores every summer for over 30 years. Our reunion got better 3 years ago when we stayed at a house owned by Bama Beach Houses. They have become like family. We will always stay in one of their homes. Our favorite BY FAR is Summertide. Our grandchildren call it "our green house on the beach". With 8 bedrooms, there is plenty of room for each of our families to have their own space. And literally right on the beach. We all love having our own pool. Very clean house, well stocked with everything we might need, and check in and out was a breeze. Close enough to the heart of Gulf Shores to be convenient without all the traffic. We highly recommend Bama Beach Houses and Summertide in particular.

We split our stay between here and Sea Monster. Sea Monster was wonderful, and really conveniently located. We'd stay there again BUT Summertide was the bomb! It's further out, and we couldn't walk across the street to get ice cream, food, and beverages like at Sea Monster but Summertide felt like we had the beach to ourselves, and the heated pool really helped for spring break time! We loved them both, and I hope to be able to come back to one soon. Thanks again!

Summer tide was the perfect home for us. We had 13 in our party ages 2-62. It was so nice to be able to eat dinner all together in one room. The older kids loved being able to have there own space and the younger cousins were happy to have a week long slumber party. We loved only having to take a few steps to be on the beach. There were days we were the only family on the beach. It was nice to have the pool right under the living room windows so we could keep an eye on the older kids. It was truly relaxing being away from all the noise and bustle that we usually have when we stay in condos closer to town. The communication before, during and after our stay was always helpful and courteous. It was also great having a entry code vs picking up keys. We were well taken care of while we were there. Trash, pool tech and one minor maintenance call were friendly and non intrusive. We loved everything about our stay here. We may never go back to condo rental again.

Lovely to wake up to the amazing view of the ocean and be only steps from the shore. Tons of space and parking to accommodate large families. Two kitchens/living rooms were a big plus. Owners were quick to respond and helpful. The only concern I had was that the rails on the deck were large enough for a child to climb/fall through. A few updates needed in the future, but overall great house! Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay! I had a wedding on the beach and it was the perfect location. You are far enough down the main road that the beach is almost private but still only 10-15 minutes from town. Our sunset wedding was very secluded only a couple people on the beach. There was plenty of parking for the 13 vehicles we had and the was more available as well. We had 22 people in the home at all times and it slept us all comfortably. Both kitchens were stocked well. I did have a few small negatives. The layout of the house wasnt explained well. The master is off by itself and all the other rooms are down one hallway and surrounding the other living room. The room with the 2 bunk beds that has the fulls on bottom is not as private as the other rooms. It is literally part of the hallway. You can shut both doors but then you have to walk outside to get to the main living room. Also all bathrooms but the master were either shared or opened into the main living spaces. Lots of unnecessary doors. The AC would only get to 72 in the main living area which was uncomfortable for some. But overall we will more then likely rent this home again!

We have rented this home twice for our family vacation and have thoroughly enjoyed it both years. The home is decorated nicely, well cleaned, and stocked with everything you would need. The two kitchens and living areas are super convenient when cooking for a lot of people or just wanting to escape for a bit. We love the privacy of the beach and having our very own pool to hang out by at night. This home offers everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing vacation!!

Summertide Fall Vacation... We had a lovely time at Summertide. The house was perfect for our group which included different family member as well as friends and all of our kids. It was really nice to have two separate kitchens and living rooms for people to cook and relax in. The deck was perfect for catching the sunrise every morning and for relaxing and visiting during the day; plus it was just a hop and skip to the beach. Everyone really enjoyed it.

This was a great house for our large group of all ages (6 months-70). Plenty of space for all, short walk to beautiful beach, convenient little pool, nice deck with good view, extra kitchen was nice for cooking for large group. The kitchen and toilet/tub areas seemed to be the only spaces in obvious need of updating. There was mold/mildew in some of the showers which needs to be addressed. The kitchen and bathrooms all needed a good cleaning before being used and at least 3 of the showers seemed to have missed being cleaned at all after the previous visitors. Overall though it was a great house. We would stay here again assuming they take care of the mold and cleaning issues.

Our family LOVED this house!! We had my wedding here. Had around 30 guests. Slept the full 26 of us well. The house is very large. The beach was extremely private when we went. There is houses on either side but its not crowded and there isn't a public access close by so its just the families from the houses around. Only problem we had was the room with the 2 sets of bunk beds is a room that you walk thru to get into one part of the house with rooms and a kitchen and we had adults in there that wanted a little more privacy. But for sleeping it fit us all. If we had a large enough group again we would definitely be renting this house again! The owners were very responsive and check in was super simple.

Great communications from the owners before, during, and after our stay. Easy check in and checkout experience.

This house is right on the beach and has a really great pool (bigger than I expected from photos). The kitchen is well stocked. The bathrooms were a little run down and sometimes had issues with water pressure. We had some minor issues during our stay (WiFi and cable out, ants, light bulbs out) and worked with the local agency there to address them but we had to contact them a couple of times to get service.

The two kitchens were one of the highlights and made it possible to make and serve Christmas dinner for all. The beach access was certainly a hit, and the great weather helped a lot. Sunsets were amazing! We enjoyed being away from things but close enough to restaurants and businesses to visit them in minutes. The management company and owner were in touch to ensure all went well and check in was simple. Rick, the owner, was so very accommodating when the first booking needed to be canceled due to COVID-19 and he made sure to get us booked for the following year. We would definitely stay here again if we had a large group!

This home was just what it was said to be and was a perfect space for the 15 of us that came to stay. It offered enough room, great beach access and was stocked well to accommodate the entire group. The management company and owner were in touch to ensure all went well and to make sure check in was simple. The owner, Rick, also worked with us through the first booking last year when, due to COVID, we had to cancel. He helped us with that and made sure to get us booked for this year, that was such a blessing. The access to the beach was amazing and someone also arranged for us to have the best weather! This was a gathering to celebrate a 50th anniversary that was delayed by COVID and to celebrate the holiday with the entire family. It could not have worked out better. Would certainly book this again for a large group. Wonderful place for a winter trip away from the cold!

We loved Summertide! Lots of space. Two kitchens and living rooms, which were great for the teens to be on their own. The deck overlooking the gulf is big and very comfortable. Great new (blue!) beach chairs. The pool was nice, and having it heated to 82' was a life saver for our spring trip as the kids were in it a LOT. We will definitely be back!
