BEACH ACCESS
Casa Playa is located on the north side of West Beach Boulevard, directly across the street from the beach and you can see the beach! You have beach access at the 12th (3 mins, < .1 mile!) and 13th street public beaches, PLUS a large pool private to just the guests of Casa Playa. We aren’t talking about blocks to reach the beach, it’s right across the street, .1 miles to the west!
POOL? You bet!
BIG outdoor pool (shared only between the two sides). 30x18x3-5' rectangular bit of bliss!
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for at least 6 cars per side. More if you park under then home and stack carefully. Just share nice with the neighbors!
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

The trip was great and the kids competed very well at the AHSAA State Track Meet! We are actually looking at bringing our Cross Country team down for a meet this year in the fall, most likely from August 20th-24th. Your home was beautiful and was so nice for my big family. We had room to spread out and enjoy the patio and pool area. I did let the management company know about the microwave on the east side. Never worked well. We didn't want to make anything worse so those that needed to warm something up just came over and used the west side. It wasn't a big deal for us since we didn't use the microwave much anyway. I just wanted them to know for the next guest. Other than that, the home was perfect for our needs and close to the beach. Thanks much for letting us stay at your place for the week. Many special memories made!

We rented both sides for a family vacation with many aunts, uncles and dozens of cousins! The home worked out so well for our family! The fact that each room has its own bath is the best thing EVER and a rare find! The home had so much space, each side with 2 living areas to hang in AND each had a sofa bed! We would wake up and find the teens hung out too late and fell asleep together in the sofa beds!The pool area is super spacious as is the covered area right next to the pool. We played many games there, out of the direct sun and rain at times. Spent most of our time here or in the front patio/balgony, looking at the dolphins in the ocean right across the street! The home was clean and had everything our large family needed. Everyone loved this home!We loved the area - ice cream. A small grocery and a kitchen/bar just a block away. If we visit Gulf Shores again, will definitely book again!

Casa Playa East & West was just what the Price family required for 2025!!!!The proximity to the beautiful beaches was perfect and the spacious pool was great for afternoon cool off.Each of our five children hosted a dinner night and the twin kitchens/ great rooms provided the necessary gathering accommodations for the family.Some of the younger set went to nearby bars by uber, and daytime activities included rental boats and fishing trips. Even visited the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.Great family spot!!!

We stayed in both sides of Casa Playa (the east and the west). It was so big. 12 bedrooms and we were all able to spread out. Having 2 kitchens and living rooms, and the connecting door, was very nice. It was also nice that you could go from side to side on the main level deck. We have plenty of room for all of us, but could get away from each other too! :-) We hhope to return in the future when we all get together again, and I will look at you all for a smaller place when we come back with less of my family. Highly recommend Casa Playa and Bama Beach Houses!

Wonderful house for large families

Our large family stayed in both units of Casa Playa (East and West). It was a great setup for large groups. The only drawback was not having a large common shared LR and DR area. It did have a door that allowed easy access to both sides and VRBO correctly described the units. BR's were large and kitchens were better equipped than any other house we have used. The den areas on both sides were larger than expected and worked well for setting up crafts and movies for kids. Having 4 fridges (2 on each side) was a godsend for this Thanksgiving gathering. The owners/managers even left pumpkin pies for each side (very nice touch to make us feel welcome). The walk to the beach along a busy road was a little farther than we would like with little ones but still doable for people without mobility issues. A couple of minor maintenance issues:rust stains in main floor bathroom trailed from window into bath tub, shared bathroom on main floor had toilet issues, smoke detector on one side went off at 2AM, and one oven was not functioning at checkin but was easily resolved. Managers/owners were very responsive to texts and calls. Overall I would highly recommend this house for large groups.

Reached out directly to learn what lost it a whole star, but do see that you would have liked more space in the LRs... it IS true that since these are two side by side duplex units, the LR/kitches (of which, of course, you had TWO of each) are connected in the LR but are not as big as they would be in a single place that holds that many. Its a tradeoff. Double the rooms and the ability to divide and conquer... but... don't really expect to put double the people in one! Appreciate the little list of items too, always super helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property, It was super spacious and afforded us room for everyone in our party. The home matched the pictures and descriptions to a T! I would definitely recommend this property for any large families or groups. It is super close to the beach access point as well as its far enough down Beach Blvd that the traffic is minimal.

Had my brother's bachelor party there, it was in a great spot with close beach access. The pool was nice and plenty of room to house the 18 adults that stayed. Parking was also not an issue and was able to accommodate all of us. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Thanks again for the house for the weekend!

The home was spacious and clean. We had a large group and everyone was comfortable. Each room has it's own full bath, with 2 full baths in the common areas! There were 4 refrigerators and 2 kitchens with all the necessary utensils and appliances. The owner uses a managing company but still checked in on us to make sure things were good. Will definitely be going back to CasaPlaya!

We rented both sides of Casa Playa for a friends weekend over New Years and it was the perfect space for us! The house accommodates a ton of overnight guests, but somehow still allows for guest privacy. The kitchens were well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciate Richard's proactive communications and professionalism! Good morning! We enjoyed our stay at CP. This is our second time staying on the property and used it the second time because of the wonderful experience we had the first time. We had close to 30 family members each time so the property fit our needs perfect! One of my favorite features of your property is the pool and its size. It has always been great foe the kids when they are tired from the beach.

This place was a great place for our family trip. Reserving both condos worked out perfect for 30 people. Richard was very helpful with everything. We spent a lot of time in the private pool which was awesome. The beach is like a 5 minute walk. Make sure to bring beach items such as beach towels, coolers, tents and chairs.

Our stay in your home was the best experience. Since 12 of our family couldn't join us we had more than enough space. Actually, 3 if the bedrooms weren't used. The kitchens were full stocked with dishes and other small appliances. All we had to do was add our food items. Climbing up and down the stairs gave us a work out but it was all worth it. We didn't want to leave and have already begun planning for next year. Having 2 refrigerators for each unit was a great enhanced feature as well as the doors that allowed us to congregate between the units. It would have been nice to have had a second access to the other unit through the living room. This is just what we would like to have had instead of walking around past the kitchen. I'm truly thankful that we decided to come down there with who we had. You have a beautiful home and any family would be pleased to have it as their vacation rental. Thank you for making it available. From my family members! Have a Happy and Blessed New Year!

We had an awesome time. My aunt actually book the house last year the the week of Christmas. We had such an amazing time we wanted to book it again. Everything was just like we remembered with a few upgrades( Keurig Coffee maker and Alexia). The weather was perfect and we will book again in the future. The local management company was awesome. After we checked out, one of the kids realized they left their watch charging in the bedroom. The gave us a temporary code to enter the home and get it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home to make lasting family memories.

Our team very much enjoyed spending the week at your beautiful home in Gulf Shores. They loved having their own pool, and the large living rooms were great for team meetings. Having 4 refrigerators was key in stocking up plenty of gatorade and protein drinks! The massive size of the house and all of the bedrooms with baths allowed our players nice spaces to rest while not feeling cramped whatsoever. We absolutely loved the trip!

Richard’s house was exactly like the pictures and was a lot of fun to stay at. We were a big group with a lot of kids and we had rented both the sections of the house and it worked great for us. The place was clean when we got there and we had plenty of advance details sent to us, so we knew what we needed and what to expect. Richard was always responsive and even when we needed maintenance for a very small issue, they came out the next business day. Appreciated everything and would recommend staying here!

Great holiday retreat! We enjoyed our stay . It was just the right amount of bedrooms and baths. I was so pleased to see it had two refrigerator which helped tremendous. Your home was great! We had such a good time and your home felt like home during our stay. We had a little trouble with the A/C on the second floor but the property management company had someone out there within hours of calling. What we appreciated most was having all the silverware, plates, pots and pans that we needed. Although we did have to buy a blender to make our margaritas, as the one there was cracked and leaking. Still please don’t take that as a complaint. We really enjoyed our stay. Hope to have the whole family together again soon and we will be staying here!

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. We did have a problem with the a/c on the top floor but someone was sent right out to take care of it. We could not get one of the dishwashers to work but it wasn't a problem, we just used the other one. Kitchen was well stocked. Super easy checkout

The location of the property was excellent and only a few houses down from beach access. The house was large enough to accommodate everyone in the group. That is key to a successful vacation. Family vacation at the beach

We had a great trip to the beach and family visited from 4 surrounding states. There were some minor requests that I sent in and they were all resolved by the next day. We had no issues with the house, we had lovely duplex neighbors. Plenty of room to spread out and everyone had the ability for alone time if they needed some as well as togetherness time. No complaints for this house.

Rick is the greatest to work with. He was 100% responsive to every question I had and you can tell he takes pride in his property. The house is well kept and it is super easy to get to the beach. Close to everything else as well. If you have a large group, we had three families, it is the perfect place to stay. I will definitely stay there again.

We were a group of 22 people/ five families. We had plenty room and lots of fun. Beach access was just a few hundred feet away. Sea view from all levels. Quiet and vibrant community. Our support contact reached out to us before we reached and was always responding to any and all questions. We had a great vacation and hope to come back sometime!

We rented both sides of the house for our big group. It was nice having two kitchens & dinning areas to cook & eat at. It was really nice that every room had their own bathroom for such a large group. Everyone really enjoyed staying here. It was close to the beach, lots of room, peaceful, quite place. We were at the beach everyday even for the time of year we were down there. Thanks for having such wonderful accommodations for us to stay at.
Large home for families or large groups, close to the beach

The home was within a 3 minute walk to the beach. It is very large for families/friends wanting to stay together in the same home. The pool is not heated. It did not mention it in the listing , so I knew in advance. We went in mid-October and the pool was too cold for most us to enjoy. The kids got in it a few times. The beds were a lot harder than I prefer, but that wouldn’t stop us from staying again at the home. We had a problem with the A/C on the second level and it was fixed that day. I highly recommend you add this home to your list of possibilities!

!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Casa Playa West was a great space for our large family get together. There were plenty of rooms, beds, and bathrooms for all to enjoy the stay comfortably. We couldn’t have asked for a better location for easy beach access. The pool was very clean and thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of parking for our 5 vehicles. Housekeeping/management was attentive and speedy in meeting needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay with them again and look forward to our next visit to Gulf Shores!

Great big house with a bathroom for each room, perfect for a big group/ family! The bedding was a little sad, I would recommend bringing your own pillow and blanket if you're picky about things like that. Overall it worked perfectly for our group of 17!

We had an awesome time. My aunt actually book the house last year the the week of Christmas. We had such an amazing time we wanted to book it again. Everything was just like we remembered with a few upgrades( Keurig Coffee maker and Alexia). The weather was perfect and we will book again in the future. The local management company was awesome. After we checked out, one of the kids realized they left their watch charging in the bedroom. The gave us a temporary code to enter the home and get it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home to make lasting family memories.
