Sea Monster is a duplex with 8 bedrooms and 7.5 baths on each side! It sleeps up to 26, or 52 if you take both sides. Each side has the following:
2nd Floor (Main) North BR: King with en suite bath
3rd Floor South BR: King with en suite bath
3rd Floor Middle BR: King with en suite bath
3rd Floor North BR: King with ensuite bath (typically provides access to anyone in Living Room/QSS)
4th Floor South BR: King with ensuite bath (shared with bunk room, private access from both rooms)
4th Floor Middle South BR: 2 x Twin Bunks (shared with South BR, private access from both rooms)
4th Floor Middle North BR: Queen, bath in hallway next to room, not specifically shared with another room
4th Floor North BR: 2 Queen + Twin Bunk with en suite bath

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

Great time with plenty of space for the entire family! Direct access to the beach and stunning view. The pool was perfect with us having some issues with the weather. Highly recommend !! The week went by too fast and the kids wanted to stay 'forever'!!! Great location being in walking distance from the Waves store plus eating & shopping!!

And yep, fair note on parking β when both sides are full of big crews, it turns into a bit of a "pack and stack" on a beach lot but you should be able to get 5-6 big size vehicles per side, a bit more when you stack well, or slide one under the home too. Great beach location with nice view. Great for large groups. Pool area was nice but too cold to swim in April. Kitchen stocked well. Just be prepared for stairs. Would rent again!

You’re absolutely right about the stairs — by coastal code, all homes here start one level up (storms and all that π¬οΈ), and duplex-style homes like Sea Monster tend to be more of a “straight shot up”… a little bonus cardio for the beach week! πͺπ
For future stays, we do have a mix of options — some stand-alone homes with landings, a few with single-level living once you’re inside, and even a couple with elevators for larger groups. Something for everyone depending on what you’re after!

Great family reunion type property. You have privacy anytime you want or mingle areas as desired. Great pool and nice beach access. Lots of balcony space on all three living levels! We booked East and West again for next year before departing!

The star of this property is the great on beach location, the nice pool and all the space. Units that could fit our group of 24 is limited and this house had plenty of room. 2 frig and 2 dishwasher was clutch for our big group. However, for the price point the unit is a bit beat up and tired. Lots of scuffs, paint scraped off on all cabinets, door latches loose or broke, jacuzzi tub out of order, kitchen dishes was not well stocked. It appears alot of things have walked off with past renters and not replaced which was a bummer for our group that cooked all meals in house. We did have a leak from an upstairs tub into the kitchen ceiling as the area was already patched this didnt appear a new issue, however the property manager was very responsive with a plumber out later that day. Overall good property I would stay at again but at the luxury price it needs a refresh and some serious updating.

Bummed to lose a star for some nicks, dings, and the few things you thought you should for the kitchen but were missing. Had 5s before and all but one other 4 (a tough grader!) for summer after you, so let's get you back even better! Its not clear from the review what those kitchen awol items might have been and I couldn't find anything in the communications with you about them--BUT it is sometimes true that things walkabout, especially when we have folks rent both sides, as we did right before you, sometimes they move things from one side to the other and it doesn't always get caught--even furniture! I'm sorry you had a leak occur during the stay, apparently from in or around a tub, but am glad the mgt co and the plumbing co they used were on it fast and got that taken care of efficiently and effectively, that's great! Happy to hear you would return. We'd be happy to have you. π Next time, let us know asap if something you think should be there is missing, and we can address it asap! Have to have all the kitchen cooking gear, right?! Oh, and in terms of updates... in additionll to constant tweaks, master BR new tile, shower, and tub. Nice! Reach out if we can help you in any way. Everything was great. The team lost 1 The house was extremely comfortable and functional, which is hard to find for a big group. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Beach access and having the pool was amazing options to have. Day 1 was extremely windy with red flags and could not get in the water. The pool came to the rescue. Your thorough and quick responses up to the trip were greatly appreciated.

Sea Monster East exceeded our expectations. The house was more spacious than we expected. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. Having two dishwashers and refrigerators really helped with us having 20 people there. The pool was clean and access to the beach was easy with young children.

We had 25 people in our group ranging from 18 months-75 years. This house was perfect for us! It is much more spacious than most places I have stayed so we never felt crowded. The bedrooms are large and had space for a pack and play and blow up mattress for the young ones and enough room that luggage wasn’t taking over. It was clean. The beach is right outside the door so we could come and go as we pleased. We loved being able to leave our beach things downstairs too. There is a few minor repairs I would have liked to see taken care of but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay. We loved the Sea Monster!

Stayed at Sea Monster for Thanksgiving. Another great stay! My family has booked with Bama Beach Houses for the last few years. It has been a great experience and the communication is outstanding. We will continue to use them. They have been much better then past booking agencies. I prefer to use a company where I can talk to people.

The house was great and worked out perfect for us. They boys had a great time and played some good baseball. The weather was much better than what we would have had if we stayed in Oklahoma. We didn't have any issues or problems and we appreciate your hospitality.

Your duplex was Beautiful. Very clean and very well stocked. I thank you for such quick maintenance on the water leak. The men were so nice and cleaned up what mess they made. I know for one this could of happened to anyone so I was not upset about the leak. Thank You for allowing us the time in your Beautiful home!

We had a wonderful summer family trip to Gulf Shores. Sea Monster was perfect for us. The pool, the beach, the space, and the restaurants and stores right across the street. We will be back!

I surveyed my four adult children who were with us and this is our shared assessment: The location was perfect. Right on the beach. No schlepping little kids who need a bathroom break across a busy street. Beautiful views of the Gulf. Restaurant, take out seafood shop and ice cream shop barely 3 minutes away. The pool was perfect. For all those occasions when you can't or don't want to go into the Gulf. We liked the house. Plenty of space. Two dishwashers, two refrigerators and two coffee pots? Brilliant!! The clothes washer and dryer was a plus. The space upstairs was plenty. We could shoo the kids upstairs to a playroom if the adults wanted more quiet. Everyone said they would come back again if we could.

We really have enjoyed our stay in your house. It's the perfect location, and very well maintained! We have visited Gulf Shores for the month of February and then again, one or two weeks during spring break for several years and hope to continue this plan.

The stay was very pleasant and everything went very well. We found a lot of stuff to do in the area and the kids really enjoyed the beach and the pool being right there! We enjoyed the house very much and all the seating and sleeping was great. I would definitely rent it again in the future if I needed accommodations for that many people. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Overall the stay way really good. The house fit our large group perfect. There was plenty of towels and location was perfect. The size and rooms were great. The kids loved the pool. We had a great stay. The guy who cleaned the pool did a great job also.

We loved it!! Our entire group was so happy with the whole set up of the houses so close to one another, the pool, the underneath space where the kids could hang out and the houses in general. Very clean and spacious! The weather could have been better but that is just my luck! Our group golfed, okayed pickle ball and played beach games despite the weather. Beach patrol was awesome. They came up to us and handed my son a ticket for having too much fun and then handed out Gulf shore koozies to everyone! It was a great time by mom and kids. The Managment company was great. One of the houses had an incident where a kids diabetes alarm feel off his arm and into the toilet and they came right out to help! Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your homes. I have already spread the word around about how great it was if anyone is considering renting!

Plenty of places to sleep and bathrooms for a large family. The house was great with a large kitchen and plenty of seating for dining. The house was clean and tidy. We did have trouble with the hot water for the top two living levels. There was no hot water several nights, requiring all 12 of us to use the shower on the main floor. So, it wasn’t impossible, just not convenient and relaxing as it could have been. The agency was responsive and did send several maintenance workers out, it just took several tries (it would work for a night, but then not the next). Overall, our stay was great - it was just bad timing on the water heater. I would recommend this property!

Our spring break in Sea Monster was awesome! So close to everything. Having the store and restaurant across the road was great, and being right on the beach, with a pool, was perfect! We loved our stay and can't wait to come back! Thank you!!! πππ

We had a great time. The kids loved the pool and were in it from 7:30am all through the day. We felt a little bad for our neighbors, as they were a group of men escaping family and wives! I would definitely recommend your beach house and have to compliment you on the great communication we had with your team in planning this Reunion. I had not been to Gulf Shores in over 18 years, hardly recognizable! Lots of positive changes. Thanks again!

We had a great time. It was a little rocky checking in as they were changing out the entire A/C unit. But thankfully the housekeeping crew realized there was a problem and were working on it when we arrived. It was a little difficult getting moved in with them working on it. BUT, a lot better than us finding out in the middle of the night that the A/C was out.... The kids loved the pool and were in it from 7:30am all through the day. We felt a little bad for our neighbors, as they were a group of men escaping family and wives! We had a great vacation. Your management company was very responsive. Their customer service people we very polite and helpful. We had a few simple issues and the contractors were knowledgeable and polite. The plumbing team that had to take care the clogged pipe completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up their mess. We were impressed.
My husband and I own rental properties, so we always appreciate when renters let us know the problems immediately. We felt like some of the issues had been a problem from previous renters, the water dispenser in the refrigerator door not working, (was fixed immediately once we reported) the clogged shower drain, and broken locks on the bedroom patio doors. I can't stress enough how the folks were very responsive and took care of everything.
We loved the house, the bedroom configuration was perfect for our family, we loved being on the beach, and the kids had fun in the pool after dark.

We had a great time. Everything was very clean, plenty of towels, and pots and pans. Having 2 refrigerators was perfect, especially since we stayed over Thanksgiving and had lots of leftovers. We would recommend the Sea Monster for sure.

We had a great experience working with Bama Beach Houses! The house we stayed in (Sea Monster) had everything we needed, easy walking to the private beach and a nice pool. Communication with the owner was professional and prompt. We will definitely return!

We had a great time at Sea Monster East. We had a total of 17 people and we had plenty of room. The best things were the two full size refrigerators and two dishwashers. Although this was a duplex we had no problems sharing the pool area with our neighbors and the beach was not crowded at all. Would definitely recommend this house to large groups. The stairs might be a problem for groups of older people but it was fine for us!

We had great grandparents, grandparents, adult children and grandkids. This place was perfect. We loved the pool and quick access to the beach! I would suggest bringing baby gates if you have small children due to the different floors and stairs. We would stay here again!

We had a great time staying at the Sea Monster! Rick was very quick and prompt to respond and help out when we had some issues. House was clean and the view of the beach was amazing! Location is close to anything you need from basic groceries, liquor shops, bait shops, fishing pier, many dinning options, bars, outlet shopping mall, and entertainment like go cart racing and mini golf.

Beachfront getaway! Great property, plenty of room. We ordered groceries for pickup at the local stores to avoid packing all our necessities and groceries. Full kitchen with two refrigerators. Washing machine and dryer. Dryer was a bit slow to dry. But the ability to do laundry saved packing a lot of clothes. Great view and right on the beach!

We had a wonderful time staying at Sea Monster! The location was great and very convenient to everything around us. We loved being right on the beach, and the big pool was fantastic for the kids to be able to jump into everyday. The house was very comfortable and easy to have lots of family in. We traveled with 6 adults and 6 kids (4-16), and there were plenty of amenities and supplies to accommodate a large group. Looking forward to our next stay! :)

I rented this property to celebrate my 60th birthday with my family. It was perfect! Plenty of room, right on the beach, and a pool. It was kid friendly. Many said it was one of the best vacations ever. When a couple of small issues came up, the property management responded and resolved things immediately. We would definitely stay here again.
