If you need a really nice smaller home, on a budget, OGP3 is perfect! Most seasons, it is less than the cost of a single hotel room per night, yet located in the middle of West Beach, lagoon side (nice shared dock and pool!), and only a short walk (1/4 mile) to the beach (you walk right next to my Seafoam home!).

GULF BEACH ACCESS
Public beach access is a 3 minute walk on a quiet road, then across west beach (as a crosswalk), right next to my Seafoam home! There is ALSO a lagoon front beach by our community pool. MORE? Yes. You can take the new pedestrian walkway from the road outside our home to the Calloway Bridge (and the public beach there too!). Nice walk along the lagoon!
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for at least 4 cars. In fact, you could park more cars than you should be driving for a 10 person place! Inquire if you have special vehicle needs.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.
PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Please inquire.
No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

The property was clean and everything in order when we got there. You have to read the listing carefully since the pool was a small pool for the whole community. Nearby hotel guests were coming and shared the dock with the resident.

Simply put, the house exceeded expectations in every aspect! The location was perfect for our family. Close enough to downtown to keep the kids happy and far enough away to feel relaxed. I believe we were all surprised by the lagoon side. A ton of wildlife, but still felt inviting to kayak and swim in. Short walk to the beach. We would absolutely book this property again!

Kitchen was fully equipped - both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, plenty of bath towels in each of the six bathrooms, and nice sitting room furniture. Balconies were nice for sitting to drink your morning coffee. Beach Access and the park were in short walking distances. Host was easy to communicate with, and responded promptly.

The one hiccup was the unit lock didn’t work so we had to contact the office for help. Turns out there was an actual problem with the lock itself, however it was addressed promptly. Everything else about our stay was amazing. The location the houses the beaches close enough to walk I couldn’t ask for a better family vacation. I would stay again if we ever take a family vacation to Gulf Shores.

The last two years Orange Beach we stayed at the same hotel and considered doing it again before someone suggested that we search for a beach house so that our whole group could stay together. This was a great find, and property management texted and call back immediately with any concerns!

This was a great stay for a mix of friends/family. There were 14 of us in total, and it was good space to have for everyone. We loved fishing off the dock at night and walking to the beach in the mornings. One thing to note is that the sleeper sofa spots are each in an open area between two bedrooms on the second floor. I thought they were a bit more secluded when I looked online. It still worked great for our family, I am just sharing for context as you are planning your trip.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was a great location. The home was very nice and we had very few issues. The condo was just as described and worked out nicely for our group. The little ones loved the nearby lagoon and pool. It took about 5 minutes to get to the beach, not horrible but would definitely recommend a stroller or wagon if you have little ones. The home itself was well maintained. Some of the top pros include comfy beds, 3 full bathrooms on each side, good amount if seating, and large parking.... The cookware was well used and chipped. We ended up buying a few of our own pans. Also the dinning room chairs have a sharp pin sticking out of one or two of them. Other than that, it was truly great! Also wanted to throw in it was not within walking distance of any restaurant/store (and doesn't claim to be) which isnt a huge deal but good to know. Overall the home was nice and we truly enjoyed our stay!

This one actually sort of is, for big people and kids, and Beach House kitchen is not crazy far, but its not for littles. Thanks again.]

We had a party of 18, and there was plenty of room for us all. The accomadations were just as described. The location was very convienent to beach and lagoon. We were glad to bring a wagon with us to help haul the beach day supplies. Only complaint was the pool isnt heated. We appreciate the follow up from Rick after our stay and hope to be back soon.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at 3B. It was our first time at the Gulf Shores, and it surpassed every expectation we had! We definitely enjoyed our accommodations and found your place perfect for our vacation desires… space, size, cleanliness, location, proximity to the beach, etc. I fell in love with being able to sit under the shared dock and just reflect and enjoy the day. Additionally, the beach and water temperatures were perfect during our trip. While we were down there, we realized this would be our last family “spring break” due to our kids having different breaks next year and it was a wonderful way to spend time together. We hope to come back… maybe a mom and daughter for her senior year trip.

Overall, we found the property to be comfortable. The layout of the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms was very nice. The living room furniture could use an upgrade, i.e., the couch was not comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils and dishes.

Loved this place. We rented both sides. Family was all together but could separate when needed (children’s naps, adults needing quiet or adults wanting to play guitar). View was lovely. Walk to beach was an adventure on the boardwalk over the lagoon. Great bike paths. One of our children learned to ride a bike while we were there. Convenient to grocery and shops. I highly recommend it.

This is a great house in a great location! We walked to both the ocean and the pier on the inlet. The management company was very helpful, responsive and friendly!

I couldn’t have been happier with this place and location. Community dock was perfect for sunsets and fishing. Plenty of places to walk and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Internet/Wi-Fi was great and allowed me to work remotely without a hitch. Kitchen was well stocked and the Master bedroom was quite comfortable. Would definitely be a place that I would stay again someday.

Everything was wonderful from the beginning process of booking the property all the way through the stay! This was our first time traveling with one of our dogs so we were nervous we wouldn’t find a decent pet friendly location but we were not disappointed! Thank you again and we will definitely be back!

Our first trip to Gulf Shores, AL was very nice! The home was accurate on the listing and very clean! It accommodated our big family of 7 with plenty of personal space. I highly recommend this rental. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need to cook a nice meal. I have one suggestion, some blinds for the sliding doors that go out to the decks would have been nice when the sun was setting. This allowed for a lot of sunlight to fill the home and it heated it up in there a bit. It was nothing that the air conditioner couldn't handle though. A grill was in the storage downstairs and we used it a few times. We also left a chair, an intertube for the beach, and some sand toys. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we can't wait to come back.

This was our first trip to Gulf Shores and it did not disappoint. The weather was fantastic every day and we were so close to the Beach! The property was awesome.. surrounded by the bay and a short walk to the beach. The boys loved fishing on the bay side and the beach was never very crowded. The house was perfect.. clean and a great size for two families. We can’t wait to go back!

We all had plenty of room. We enjoyed the covered pier for fishing and pool were both just across the drive. Beach is close enough to walk to as well. We had a great time and I would recommend this property to anyone.

My family enjoyed this property. It’s literally across from the beach. A fishing dock and pool is located in the small area as well. The kids and family enjoyed the location and convenience of everything being so close together.

The location and set up of On Golden Pond #3 was good over all. Easy access to the beach. Side A needs a little TLC in several areas and a deep cleaning. Side B seems to be a little more stylish and definitely cleaner. Over all we were pleased with our stay.

Place is in great location. Short walking distance to the beach. Enough room for us to park cars under it and hang out. The host was excellent with communicating with us and helping with all accommodations. Friendly and responded quickly. Definitely a great trip and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Location for Fishing & Beach. Our family enjoyed our stay. We love the location being very close to a small dock for fishing, crabbing and swimming and walking distance to the beach. Some of the bedrooms were different from what was pictured. We had a little hiccup during check in with the lockbox having dead batteries but the property manager was able to provide assistance to us promptly. We appreciate the quick response to get us into the house especially after driving for 14 hours. Minor things with cleaning on pullout couch but nothing major. Great house would stay again!

Perfect spot. We really enjoyed this home. It's minutes from the beach, sits right on the bay, and it's far enough down the strip to be in a quiet area while also being within 5 minutes of all shopping. Communication with the owners before and after our stay was amazing and added the cherry on top of an excellent stay.

The house was perfect for our family & extended family (4 adults & 3 children) and could have easily “handled” more! We were just a short walk from the ocean, and a great dock set-up for fishing on the lagoon. The beds were all super comfy and linens were clean. Since our trip I’ve communicated with the owner of the property who has been awesome and extremely friendly. I’m not sure when we’ll be back to Gulf Shores - but will not hesitate to stay here again or one of his other properties in the area!

This was a great beach house for our family! Tons of space for everyone to utilize day and night! All beds were comfy and the pictures were as described! Very short walk to the beach...6 minutes or 2 songs and great area! Lots of parking on site, great decks and loved having our own rinse area as well! Definitely staying here again if it's available and thebrates are very reasonable and competitive! Bama Beach house team was a pleasure to work with and VERY fast as communicating! Thanks again!

We had a great time. The home was a good fit for our smaller group this trip. Loved the lagoon sunsets and sitting on the dock. Communication was good. The home was clean and had everything we needed. We had an issue with a missing remote and the owner had someone stop by and replace it same day. Will come back when we have a smaller group again. Thank you for letting us stay.
Great...except dishcloth and towel

great kitchen everything, except 1 dishcloth and 1 dish towel, wasn't prepared for that. All bed very good except A side bedroom first floor needs new mattress. Jet tub on this side also when turned on all kinds of black nasty stuff came out, couldn't figure how to turn on the shower, no regular handle on it, it was rigged which we figured out. But on side B the garbage disposal went out but they were there in a few minutes to fix, all in all we had a great vacation there. I think they need to refigure only 1 towel per person that is a lot of washing towels for a large group
Thank you Kathy! Glad everything, including the kitchen (well, kitchens!) was great for you all. I am sorry you didn't feel that one bath towel per person for the max occupancy of the home (so 22 bath towels) and the additional hand and wash towel per kitchen was not sufficient. That is pretty standard for all the management companies along the beach, though I understand that if you happened to be maxing out our home, and/or have folks who use more than one, it could be a bit tight. I guess its good there were two sets of washers and dryers.... :-) We actually don't support (or advertise) the jetted tubs and I'm surprised it turned on at all! I'll have my guys check it and the shower handle you mentioned. When you come back for that next stay, if you run into anything at all, like with the one (of two!) garbage disposals that got jammed up, just reach out and let me (or the local mgt co) know and they will be right out to help with anything and everything! I am happy to bird dog too! Again, so glad you all had a great vacation! Reach out if you have other suggestions or need anything in the future! Thanks again! Rick
